Mixed experience stay but fab customer service
First experience was honestly not good, but once I found the right person to talk to, we had a great time. Lovely apartment with hot tub on the balcony, sea view, good facilities in the kitchenette, superb customer service (second time around anyway!). Some lovely rooms including a fully fitted kitchen, great sound system and very comfy beds. Restaurant is fine, menu is limited but food is reasonable quality and staff in restaurant were absolutely lovely. Breakfast choice was good (but expensive if you don't get a package deal) Nice to have a heated pool in the winter! Seriously blown away by the second lot of customer service, they couldn't have been better. Liked the look of the trips available and the train to get around the complex (the place is HUGE), but didn't get time to try them out. Next time hopefully. We'll definitely go back.

Annoyed this morning.
I love this area and have stayed twice in this hotel. Firstly on both occasions I did not find the reception staff very welcoming. The apartments also need a little updating. My iPad is bigger than the Tv in the bedroom. The jacuzzi bath even though I had turned it off made a lot of noise all night. The washing machine buttons are difficult to press and also had no instructions on it. A few extra utensils in the kitchen would be nice. A proper flipper for the frying pan!! The most annoying thing about this hotel and it has happened twice now is the cleaners knocking on your door non stop once your early check out time comes about and that’s 10am. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world and never experienced this to this extent. I know you may say get out on time then but the rate you pay on high season deserves a little give and on low season,what’s the rush giving people an extra 10 mins while they are in holiday mood. This time was low season and the check in time is 4pm so there is plenty of time to clean. Anyway the cleaner told me after the 5th ring of the bell that I should pay more money if I wanted to stay late. Gosh where would you get it. I don’t know if this is part of Wyndham training.

Nice Unit but Noisy Experience
Our unit was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen was very sparsely equipped. We found numerous insects especially in the kitchen. We set the air conditioning at 17 degrees but the unit was much warmer than that at all times making sleeping difficult. For about 5 days of our 14 day stay we had extremely noisy occupants in the adjacent unit. Customer service, at our request, did contact them but to no avail. The units have heavy chairs in both the kitchen and on the patio, and the movement of them from adjacent units and units above is very loud.

Fantastic hotel
Great 4 night stay at Santa Barbara Heights, the apartment was very well equipped, close to shops and easy access to other places in the costa del sol. The staff were also fantastic, Artin & Christina were extremely helpful during our stay and sorted everything we needed. Would stay again & recommend to others.

Great place but could be so much better!
We had a great time here, but is was often in spite of the Wyndham. The whole pool area needs resurfacing, not being able to set up a pool bar tab or put charges on the room, room not resembling pictures online, wild pigs roaming the estate, noisy 2am rubbish collection.. all little issues that detract from what is a really great place. Lots of small improvements needed and this has the basis of being a truly amazing place.

having been to other Wyndham resorts this is by far the weakest one by far. NEVER take a b or a room. its basically one big hotel room cut in two and it means theres a locked door between both rooms and you can HEAR EVERYTHING its horrible. tried calling room service no answer. stayed 5 days didn’t see a cleaning employee once. its all on a hill so if somone has mobility issues it would be a nightmare (I dont but you need a car) very disappointed in a nut shell. and the ocean view isnt one at all you need to go on the balcony, look round the corner and there you can the ocean.

We stayed at this property the year before and could not rate it high enough, this year we upgraded our room and this was a big mistake. The room was smaller but it was so run down. The drinking glasses were chipped. The balcony was cover in bird droppings, walls were covered in dirt. The place was absolutely disgusting, I have never stayed in such filth. The alarm was broken on arrival it needed a new battery and we are still waiting for security to come back and fix this on our departure. We tried to move rooms but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. Please avoid this hotel at all costs. Pool area and gardens all still well maintained it was only our accommodation that was way below the standard you would expect from Wyndham.

I have stayed at multiple other Spanish hotels and i have never in my life heard the sheer amount of noise i have heard from other guests staying in the rooms next to mine, every single day from about 9 am until 2 am constant noises of either furniture moving, people stomping or talking loudly. I asked at one of the reception desks if this was normal and i was told yes, that this was normal because Spanish architecture is terribly designed and makes it so you hear all the noises from your neighbor's room in an apartment complex. While this may be true in some places of Spain it should not be true in a hotel!!! Especially a Wyndham hotel which is an American chain and should have different designs. I have stayed at the Melia Barajas hotel, as well as the Riu Plaza Hotel in Madrid and the Senator Banus Hotel in Estepona for some examples and in not a single one of them did i experience the same level of noise that i did here at Wyndham, makes me think not much money was invested in the construction of the buildings themselves, it was the greatest disappointment of the trip.

Οverall we had a great time! We didn't like the fact that although they knew we were a family of 4, the sofa bed was not made for us (we had booked a one bedroom apartment). We arrived almost midnight, could not find the bedsheets and ended up using the large towels to cover at night. Apart from that, breakfast was good and we really enjoyed the swimming pools and the aqua gym sessions! Would visit again!
