Friendly and helpful staff
It was a basic and clean room. The friendly and helpful staffs uplift Toby's Resort. I will definitely come back again. I arrived very early and they did their best to allocate my room way before 3pm. I really appreciate how accommodating staffs were.

Perfect for what we needed
Perfect for what we needed . We booked two days for the start of our holiday before heading to Negril .5 minutes away from the airport which was perfect after travelling 10 hours to Jamaica. Room was clean , bed was comfortable. The restaurant had a nice selection on the menu and was cooked well and arrived at the table quickly . The restaurant and pool bar staff were very efficient and friendly . The main pool was nice and sunbeds and umbrellas for shade were in good condition. Location of the property was good for local shops to get basic groceries and alcoholic drinks . It was also convenient for bars and restaurants.

Haven’t been back in Jamaica since 2012 and I was very much looking forward to this vacation. My stay here was my first and definitely my last. I’ll say this though; if I’m to base my stay on staff friendly I’ll give it a B+. Cooked food is served cold even though it says cooked to order. I ordered a “Sprite” which was not just hot but also over 2 months expired.

As a Jamaican, I decided to stay in the central part of the resort area that me. We looked for convenience & reasonable rate,seen that were we going to stay for (17) days. Tobys Resort was the perfect place. It's been there for a few decades now,I knew that because I was born in Montego Bay. Anyway. Obviously they are trying their best to keep up the property and yes they do. The staffs are very helpful. Upon arrival the lady at the front desk ( I think her name is Charlene) and others like Orlando(Restaurants) and most of all JULIET (Housekeeping) were very good!!! Juliet kept our room stocked and cleaned . One positive criticism: The doors needs repair. On separate nights we saw a roach and a small lizard came in from under the door. We immediately opened the door and they made a u-turn 😱😂. Around the doors needs to be sealed. Anyway, we'll be back next year!! Madeline and Kenneth Sawyers Respect!

We arrived after 1 am. First problem is we were honking at the gate for a while and the security guard was nowhere to be seen, we had to drive around and then he slowly got out of his post. Then, the receptionist (short girl with natural hair and glasses) took forever to make it to the desk, we waited like 5 mins for her, and she had the nerve to be unfriendly and make it seem like we were bothering her. I know Jamaica isn’t known for good customer service but this was wild. My father was trying to diffuse the situation because he saw that I was getting annoyed by her incompetence. He tried to engage her in conversation (something SHE should have been doing) and she didn’t answer him, didn’t even crack a smile, made it seem like he was being a bother. Then the security who walked me to my room didn’t talk, didn’t help with my bags up the stairs, tried to swap batteries out of the AC remote into the TV remote leaving the AC remote without batteries and thinking I wouldn’t notice. (That actually need to be addressed, you need to have batteries on hand, that’s just ridiculous) Then, the hot water in my room wouldn’t work so there’s that. Took two showers in cold water. The whole experience was a disappointment from start to finish, unfriendly staff, uncomfortable bed, no hot water, etc. I wonder if they treated us that way because we were Jamaican, I can’t see how you all would treat foreigners so callously and still be in business. That girl needs to be benched.
