Highly unsatisfactory room condition
The heating in our rooms didn’t work. They took ages to come and check it out by which time 2 of our kids - one who is a baby and one who was ill - had fallen asleep with jackets and towels on them to help keep warm.
They didn’t make much effort to fix it beyond checking we’d turned the radiator in correctly. Instead they brought us electric heaters. Made half the room uncomfortably dry and warm while the opposite side of the room remained cold.
In one room the Bathroom sink wouldn’t drain and in the other room the shower drain was extremely slow to drain. We kept turning off the water to give water time to drain/ precent it from spilling over. After reporting it someone apparently came to the room to have a look at the blocked sink but by this point we were all just using that shower in turns so they couldn’t access the bathroom- so they left and didn’t return. When complaining to the staff they were understanding and apologetic but made some strange comments like “some people just don’t turn the thermostat on” (it’s not hard to work a thermostat especially when there are clear instructions right above it). or “that’s the new wing so I doubt there’s issues with the heating there”…(new or not..I’m in it and it’s freezing). and no one actually resolved any of the anctual issues.
