One night at Microtel, Meridian, MS
This was a pleasant stay during our trip. The staff I met were both friendly and pleasant ladies. This is an older style motel which I prefer. The room was clean and large with bed and bath, a kitchenette and dining/lounge area on the first floor. The continental breakfast had waffles, cereal, muffins, toast, coffee, juice and accessories in a clean environment. The bottom line -- clean, comfortable, quiet, economical, convenient and with excellent parking on a Thursday, 12/26/24. I would stay there again if traveling on I-20.

Have stayed here before, but won’t again :(
Upon arrival, the desk clerk was very pleasant. She informed me the elevator was broken. To have a level one room, I needed to upgrade to a suite costing an additional $14.00. I took the upgrade so I didn’t have to carry my luggage up and down stairs. The studio had the extra area with a couch and sink. The couch was very worn. The bathroom counter had dried soap, hair, and a partially used container of shampoo. The carpet had some visible trash. A previous guest left half a pill of something on the nightstand, and I killed a roach on the desk and one in the bathroom. When I arrived, it was too late to try to find another hotel.

Someone left 1/2 a pill of something on the nightstand.
If something on the floor is big enough to see, the vacuum should get it if it’s being used.

You get what you pay for
It was okay for a solo one night stay, but definitely would not stay again. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned very well and the the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke.

my husband is disabled , so we booked a room to accommodate him , only to get there to find out the room was not available, and the elevator was out of order. had to help him up 3 flits of stairs to get to the room only to find out later that nothing in the room worked, and the place was filthy. had to stay cause I had already got him and our luggage up the 3 flits. I should by all means get a full refund for this. But I probably wont. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

NEVER AGAIN
I didnt stay there I had to cancel and it was a night mare to cancel. I thought I was making the reservation with the desk at the motel, but they had farmed it out to expedia or some other outside agency that spoke very little english. I finally got it canceled, but with part of my money returned even though I gave them a weeks notice of my desire to cancel. Not a happy camper- NEVER AGAIN !!
