Lovely hotel close to beach and activities. Staff very helpful. Valet parking, excellent food and service at the rooftop restaurant, lots of local eating places nearby. Very clean. The view is incredible. It's expensive but if you want to see the sunset in LA right from your room, this is the place to be. The rooftop bar was closed to a party so we were seated almost to the back, did not have the best experience. The neighborhood is mixed as expected for Venice.

We had a pleasant 2 night stay in early August. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is 2 min walk to beach. We borrowed beach umbrella and towels from the hotel, free of charge, which definitely helped us to enjoy the beach more. They also lend bike and many other things for free which we didn't have a chance to use. The roof-top bar was a beautiful place.
