You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. I wanted a cheap place to lay my head for the night and that’s what I got. Overall everything was fine. My biggest issue was water temperature. I took a shower at 10:00am and lukewarm was the best I could do.

No thank you
We did not enjoy our stay. Room wasn’t fully ready when we arrived. No carpeted rooms. Inside was in need of work and repairs. Only had lukewarm water (perhaps due to the large water heater left outside our window-but no mention of it when we arrived).
Room in disrepair. Not ready
Lovely view of the old water heater outside our window. No hot water

Disgusting
Walls are thin and if you’re staying on the first floor you can hear everything from the seconds floor. Mold in the shower and towels smelled like mildew. Bugs were crawling on the walls and the curtains.

Horrible
I was told our room had a problem and they were out of hot water, so I asked for a discount and he said the only way to do that is to cancel the reservations we made . So he did and gave us a discount and said he only had one room left and it had troubles also. No tv. We took it knowing there was little time to get a new room some place else. The room smelled horrible, the drapes were not on the rod and the screen was bent and open to the outside, as if the room was destroyed. The toilet would not shut off until we had to shake the handle a number of times. But it was clean to a point and the beds were comfortable. Never will I stay there again.

Does corporate do routine inspections??
First of all…we have never given any place we’ve stayed a poor review in our 49 years of marriage. Reception gentleman was kind & did resolve problem with TV & “no signal”. Black Cable TV cord ran along the wall from the outside door to the TV which looked very tacky. There was no door on the closet where clothes were hung, broken wooden hanger on the floor of closet. Ironing board cover was very dirty….would not use it! Reservation was for king bed & disappointed to find our room with queen beds but let that go. Room was large and looked like new flooring recently & painted but extremely poor painting job! Visible runs, especially on bathroom door. Stayed 2 nights. Breakfast good first morning but second morning tator tots were stale, question if reheated from day before. Scrambled eggs also not good. Sausage links & waffle maker were good. When we returned to our room that first day, after sleeping in one of the queen beds we saw we were given clean towels & soap replacement but waste baskets weren’t emptied & bed had not been made. Would not stay here again! This is not representative of a mid scale hotel as described, this is a bottom dweller.

Baymont Durango is a no.
We have been on vacation for 20 days and have stayed in 9 hotels. This was the worst. Sidewalks and steps were nasty and people were sitting on the steps drinking beer and smoking. I had reserved a king room and was given a double queen room. It was changed after a trip back to the office. The room was minimally acceptable. The entire experience was the worst I encountered in my trip. The previous night I had stayed in the Baymont in Cortez and it was excellent.

This property is terrible, wires coming out of the walls, pipes in the bathroom sticking out of tile, parking lot lights burnt out or so dirty no light shone. Swimming pool looks condemned -closed. Checkin staff was indifferent I will never stay in a baymont hotel again - there is no way this property meets corporate standards. 200 a night for a dump…

PLEASE READ BEFORE STAYING HERE!!! I am NEVER one to complain about a stay. But this one was HORRIBLE! I wish i had the time to read reviews before i booked. The second we pulled into the parking lot, i looked to see if i could cancel my stay. The only reason i didnt cancel was because it was 9pm when we checked in and i simply needed a shower and a bed to rest for a while. Not very many rooms, but no parking. Finally got parked, had someone ask for money and if i had any drugs on me that they could trade for "what they have in their room". Checked in, the man at the desk simply said "ID and your credit card" didnt say for how much, nothing. Got to the room and it was disgusting!!!! One pillow on a king bed. The sheets were dirty, the floor felt like it was about to cave in. The bathroom window was wide open with spiderwebs all across it. Bugs in the bathroom. Two towels, BOTH dirty. There was trash in the 2 trashcans in the room and bathroom. The ac was blowing hot air. The bathtub started backing up with disgusting water and would not drain. We had people banging on the walls and standing in front of our window yelling until almost 3am. It seemed as if a lot of these people staying in these rooms maybe live there? I don't know how this place is even open to the public and not shut down?? I would sleep in my car before i would even think about staying here again!!! This hotel is horrifying and disgusting. Negative stars if i could. STAY AWAY!

Dirty and NO ADA
The room was dirty, unfinished in some areas, loose cables running along the floor, the bed was lumpy, bathroom mildew, shower valve handle fell off, floor was dirty and there was random dirt not picked up in the corners. ONLY ONE ROOM FOR ADA
