Lovely hotel, but getting a late checkout (1 hour) was more complicated than it needed to be. I requested this with my booking, and requested again at check in. I was told I’d need to call in the morning, which sort of defeats the purpose of requesting a late checkout so that hubby who’s been working a lot of OT can get some quiet sleep. I did call in the morning (at a loud whisper in the bathroom) and was told that an hour would be $20. OK. However, if this is for a fee and not just as a courtesy (hotel is not full), it should be able to be arranged at check in. The rest of our stay was wonderful. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and full of amenities.
