The owner was always on hand to greet and bid farewell to guests, and to prepare a good breakfast for us to start the day. need a cab? he'll help with that too! He spoke good English, certainly better than my Korean! The traditional Hanok accommodations was lovely and located in an exceptional part of the cultural district. We found it very easy to get to all the main tourist destinations in Gyeongju. Despite being just 1 street away from all the action, it was quiet and serene at night. Will definitely be staying here the nextbtimr we come back to GyeongJu.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean and there is cute stone garden in the property. The owner speaks English well and is very kind, helping us find several places on the phone as we couldn’t type the place names in Korean. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved my stay here. At first I was a little worried as you have to go down an alley to find the property but it is absolutely beautiful. Room was great: super comfy bed, heated floor, air conditioning, fridge, super spacious bathroom. Breakfast is excellent: toast, cereals, fresh fruits and veggies, and an egg and bacon cooked by the host, as well as drink options. And all for free!! Great location too - close to lots of cafes, restaurants, shops. Also close to some of the main Gyeongju tourist attractions. It is a little far from a bus stop, but not too bad. I would recommend getting a taxi to and from though if you have suitcases! Overall highly recommend this stay!

We really enjoyed our three-day stay at the Naganjae, a traditional-looking inn or hanok with all the modern conveniences in the Hwangnam-dong neighborhood of Gyeongju. There are just three very clean and comfortable rooms and an airy breakfast room facing a pretty courtyard - so a lovely and intimate respite from the busy world outside. A few minutes walk from the Naganjae will find you in a lively downtown area full of one-of-a kind shops, restaurants and cafes, while a longer walk or bus ride will take you to many beautiful and fascinating cultural and historical locations for which Gyeongju is famous. The proprietor is a quiet but very helpful young man who cooked a tasty and healthy breakfast each morning, and also arranged a taxi ride to the train station for us upon request. We would highly recommend the Naganjae for anyone who wants to have a more personal and traditional stay while in Korea.

My friends and I loved our stay at Naganjae! It's walkable to shopping and dining, but a block or two away for a quieter respite. I'd highly recommend staying here and plan to book again in the future.

Lovely stay in traditional style guesthouse
Lovely room, very comfortable and clean in a traditional style Korean guesthouse. Good amenities provided. Very nice underfloor heating. Only slight issue was noise from nearby construction site and can hear other guests coming and going but the property did state they have tried to soundproof.

Hanok Stay with modern twist
The place was spotless and spacious. I have always wanted to experience a hanok stay. I am grateful to be able to find such an amazing place. It looks new and traditional all at the same time. The beds were so comfortable, the wifi was strong, great channel on the tv and big bathroom for us to use. Also it was our first time experiencing ondol (underfloor heating) and it was interesting. The location was perfect. Very close to the main cafe strip but still has the sense of privacy. The accommodation also provides light breakfast in the morning. The owner was such a friendly person and helpful in getting us a taxi ride back to train station. Thank you for letting me practice my broken Korean. I definitely need to work more on it.
