Pleasant Stay, Poor Internet
My stay at Lake Quinault Lodge was mostly positive. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, the internet service was disappointing, especially the 30-minute limit. I would appreciate it if you could improve the internet connectivity for future guests. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would consider returning.

My son says this was a highlight of our trip!
Amazing restaurant. The food was so delicious! As good as anything I’ve had at a metropolitan restaurant. The service at the restaurant and lodge was outstanding. Highly recommend for a rustic but pampered retreat in the most beautiful setting. The maintenance staff even helped out air in my tirea before my road trip departure.

Great Stay. Helped by Alexi at check-in. He helped us sort out an issue and it really got our stay off to a great start. We really appreciated his professionalism and friendliness. We hadn’t been to the lodge in 10 years and it appears to be being kept up. We will return next year for a longer stay because of this past experience

Nice room but not like we hoped
A lovely lodge. We booked a Lakeside room, which was in a more modern (around 1990) building that seemed more like a hotel. Good, basic room with very small balcony overlooking the water, a few hundred yards from the main building. The descriptions of the room options should have been much clearer. Also, the wifi did not work in our location, and was free for only 30 minutes a day. The plus on that is to enjoy the beauty without wifi.

$360 a night for a fireplace room. Hmmm not what we thought we were getting. To start, check in on a Tuesday afternoon was crazy, not enough staff. On our way upstairs to our fireplace room there was a red bull can on the stairs- when we checked out, 3 days later, the can was still there- Our room was very dark & we had a hard time finding our belongings after dark. Our bed was so lumpy and noisy. 3 nights of back pain & lack of sleep, not my idea of relaxing. There is only 30 minutes of WiFi per phone, per day. TV horrible quality. We understand some people don’t want to watch a little tv before bed but it was laughable. No complimentary water in room. No stir sticks or spoons for coffee. Fireplace worked 1.5 days of the 3. No daily room cleaning ie trash removal, new towels. You can get anything you want by walking to the front desk. Hmmm $360 a night. Okay good stuff, the lake is beautiful and quite peaceful. Loons all around- the food we ate was very good. Hikes in the area are great! Soooo many mushrooms. The store across the street was friendly & quaint. The Lodge is selling nostalgia but that’s it. If that’s your jam and you don’t mind spending $360 a night for mediocre at best, then this is the place for you.

This was a last minute booking. We were so glad we stopped. The mix of quaint with up to date is just right. The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant is excellent. It’s a very cozy space despite its size.

What a beautiful classic park lodge. My room was a little dated and tired. But overall stay was unique, peaceful and beautiful. The chef prepared dinners were fabulous. We had king salmon and pot roast the first night and it was fabulous. The second night the clam chowder was excellent also. Wait staff was , friendly, helpful, and spot -on!!!

2/10 Poor

The price of the room is very expensive compared to the room and services you get! There is no chance of getting the room before 4 o'clock. You should pay attention to the room you get, it is not exactly as advertised on the website. The room is in another building, the shower is small and the sink is outside the shower. There is no phone in the room. There is no clock that wakes up and/or shows the time at night. There is no free internet (the first half hour is free and then you have to buy). There is no reception/coverage at all in the entire area for mobile phones in calls and on the internet of all mobile phones, so you are cut off from the outside world and this requires you to buy internet from the hotel. The restaurant is very expensive.

We cancelled the reservation as it was more then an hour from where we were. Spoke to Trisha at the desk and Richard in reservation. Both said it was no problem and I'd get my refund. We paid extra on Expedia to be able to cancel with a refund. All of a sudden, they won't honor that. They're keeping all $360 we paid.

This property is a beautiful historic lodge run by the National Parks. The pluses- very clean, historic, beautiful beach and grounds, decent (paid) breakfast. The cons- the staff attitude is similar to DMV employees. They don’t care. They wouldn’t hold a small backpack with a medical device behind the desk for two hours when we arrived at 2 for a 4 pm check in. The gin and tonic we ordered at the bar was clearly watered down, a few times. The WiFi wasn’t free. It’s very expensive for what you get, unaffordable for the average family.

What a beautiful lodge! It is exactly as described and photographed. It is quaint, thoughtfully decorated and perfect. The leather couches, the indoor pool, the fireplace the chairs and yard games out back...amazing. the lake was glass like, the food was good and hiking around the lodge was exactly what we needed.

The rooms in the lodge are surprisingly in poor condition and not worth the price. Layers of dust under the beds and no cold water from the sink. To use the coffee machine it had to be moved to a chair by the sink to plug it in. At 2am a generator came on outside our window and ran until 7am. It was like having a motorcycle running on your room. I would not recommend booking a room in the lodge. I did not do my research before booking.

Wonderful location, historic lodge, basic rooms
Beautiful location, historic property so rooms were just basic and in need of updating. Roosevelt Room restaurant food was consistently very good and reasonably priced given the remote location. Service was polite and professional. Wonderful rainforest hikes very nearby, boat trip around the lake for an extra fee was worth doing - saw bald eagles, an osprey, loons, a few herons. Room was too warm, there is a celing fan and screened slide up window. No cell phone service, very limited internet - only permitted 30 minutes use a day.

I had booked a tour of the Rain Forest as a special surprise for my wife. However, after we arrived at the Lodge, we were told the tour was cancelled, despite me repeatedly be told the bus would arrive any minute. I was refunded the tour fees. I was very disappointed as we had driven from Pasadena, CA for this special occasion.
