We booked an upper floor suite (which was never truly available to begin with, as found out due to ongoing construction). Booked the suite, received an email directly from the hotel mentioning some SERVICES may not be available due to the construction, nothing about room availibility.
A double queen room was provided when checking in, I asked for a refund of the difference between the two rooms, no consideration was given. I was told to speak with the manager in the morning to discuss the issue. No consideration once again was given.
Hotels.com provided a coupon for the difference in price, as a refund. This was to my satisfaction, and was no thanks at all to Country Inn and Suites (no suites, sorry!).
The hotel is regularly doing this bait and switch with rooms during construction, as revealed by previous reviews.
Construction workers are also consuming many rooms in the hotel, maybe even the suites!
Poor hotel, poor customer service. Not to mention all-wood construction revealing all of the noise from everywhere in the hotel. Even when construction is complete, this will be a noisy hotel, and the customer service will still be in need of a complete renovation.
