Would Stay Again
Stayed here for one night and the room was exactly what was required. Single bed was relatively comfortable and all the required amenities were either already in the room or available upon request. Really enjoyed the pool and sauna/steam room facilities, especially considering the value of the room. The hotel is in a very convenient location just a short walk away from the high street and train station.

Fabulous!!!
We had a really good stay. Very clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful, food good and the facilities (even though we didn't get time to use them) were great. Parking was a bonus. The location and the view from dining room and event room were fabulous. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Disappointed
We did not like the small censor lift as found very daunting as find it hard to see how six people could fit in it and not miss touching the censor that immediately stopped the lift mid floor. We had to push the emergency alarm to get help as very scary. Also disappointed we were put on the third floor when explained I was disabled as IF there had been a fire emergency there would have been no way I could have escaped down the external Fire escape stairway. This led to my anxiety preventing me from getting to sleep. We also had to escape to our room with our bar meal precariously on a tray because of the excessive noise in the bar area created by what looked like a 1920’s evening. It was so noisy I started to feel faint. The TV in the room did not work saying there was no aerial connection and the toilet did not flush properly. Staff were very friendly though and helpful, but sadly we have decided we better not stay again as we had hoped to.

The hotel was a bit dated. Needs a bit of updating. But the service was good. The staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast was also good. The double bed was a bit small.

Another great stay at the Redcliffe
This was our second stay here, and it didn’t disappoint. The double room that I’d booked turned out to be a triple, so plenty of space. The room was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent - and there was a lot of it! We were filled up for the day! Had a couple of meals off the bar menu, and they were good too. Staff friendly and helpful. We like this hotel, and will probably come again sometime in the future!

A fantastic week
We are coming here again next year! The whole experience was superb. The staff are very friendly, have great local knowledge and were very helpful. The pool/gym were both excellent. There were lots of nooks and crannies to hide away and read in when the weather was wet. The bar and ballroom were especially great to sit in. The food was amazing, from the choices at breakfast to bar snacks through to an evening dining experience of three courses in the dining room. Something for everyone. Situated slightly above the beach, it was a matter of minutes before you were on it. An easy walk into town or all the way along to the harbour. Easy bus access to Brixham/Torquay etc. and the Steam Train experience was fantastic. I would recommend the Redcliffe unreservedly for your stay in Paignton.

Good stay at a favourite hotel in Paignton
This is one of my favourite hotels anywhere. The staff are friendly and effecient, the rooms comfortable and clean/ The restaurant is very nice and spacious and, alhough there were reduced menus there was a different choice each day. There was a choice of starters, always including a different soup (excellent) and a choice of mains, always including a choice of two types of meat, always a fish dish and always a vegie dish. Overall I though the food was very good and well presented and the service efficient and polite. I have been to this hotel many times. I like it because it is in a very good location, right alongside the sea, not far into the town and the pier and there is a large carpark. To me, this hotel has a aura of faded grandeur which I think is charming. I notice there is an application pending for 'improvements' I do hope that the charm of the hotel will be lost if the application goes through.
