Selina practically pulsates with a youth vibe: loud music, people playing ping pong, cash payments for everything (no charging to the room). The staff were all young. A few were attentive, but most were not.
The best thing about the hotel is that it sits on an amazingly large and beautiful piece of land. There are great health and fitness opportunities: two swimming pools, yoga and exercise classes, workout rooms.
We did enjoy our room. It was incredibly spacious, with a loft for the bed. We were on the top floor at the back of the building, so we had a beautiful view of trees and mountains. Unfortunately, the elevator broke down a lot, making it difficult to haul luggage up and down. Also, the room wasn't very clean. Someone came each day to make the bed and replace amenities, but they didn't sweep the floors or empty wastebaskets.
Unlike the typical breakfast buffet, Selina serves an identical cooked breakfast for everyone. Beyond breakfast, they have a limited menu and poorly prepared dishes.
Although we didn't see it, we think the complex included a hostel. The hotel basement had a shared kitchen that had seen better days. It was most likely for people at the hostel.
