I’m struggling to see the value in this inn. We had a family room (four in one bedroom) but the bathroom was far too small for four of us. The shower was the width of a toilet cubicle. In fact the loo is right opposite the shower - nowhere near enough space. The basin is in the bedroom. I wouldn’t recommend this I’m afraid.

Very nice inn; falls short as a hotel
A very clean and comfortable inn, but not a truly good hotel. The staff, while very nice and helpful, are not available much of the time, the location is somewhat far from the city center and there is no bus service, only taxis which do not operate all the time…I felt the place is truly an inn—mostly a bar/limited restaurant with some nice rooms to let…For guests with their own cars, I’m sure it is far more satisfactory.

Never recommending
The place was ok and manager Chris was nice to you. Sadly they have taken payment twice out of my bank and I have been trying for a week to get this refunded. Every time I ring Chris she says that she will deal with it straight away and will phone back but never does. I will never stay here again and now sadly will not be recommending

Excellent stay at The Dunoon.
I loved my stay here, the location is lovely, surrounded by countryside, the room very comfortable and clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing, especially the Sunday carvery! I will definitely stay at The Dunoon again and highly recommend it.

Not in Truro
Everything great but the location!! Posting and confirmation both said that hotel was located in Truro, but it’s actually in St Ives, 30+ minutes away!!

Lovely stay, good location but near a main road
Very good value for money, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff - we felt like we all knew the landlady for years by the end of the week! Location is good for St Ives - probably not walkable and get a taxi during busy periods (£7.50 each way). Also a short drive to Penzance. Rooms are relatively small and fairly basic - TV is just freeview, no Netflix as far as I could tell. They do have a small fridge each which is useful although they did buzz a bit. Could definitely use air con, especially on warmer nights it was a bit hot. You can open the window but then you get some road noise. Parking area is huge but a short walk to the rooms. The bar is lovely and the restaurant food is good in the evenings. Overall recommended for families - Balnoon Inn has a very nice family holiday vibe.

Skuffende
3/10 stjerner
