Halfmoon inn
Typical pub food and comfort. Slightly smaller rooms than a premier Inn. Guest only court yard after 6pm which is nice. Car park just big enough for guests and pub visitors. 10 mins from RNAS Yeovilton an hour from the Tank museum.

The food is good, however no privacy when eating, to much tables in the pub

Lovely pub, thin walls in rooms
Lovely little pub with friendly owners, rating a little high though. The water pressure is really poor for both shower and toilet and the wifi barely reaches the rooms (kept disappearing completely). The walls are very thin and we were woken a few times by neighbours but for a cheap overnight stop is perfectly fine.

Nice little country pub/room
Lovely hotel, the staff where every friendly and helpful. The room had tea and coffee making facility and a sofa. The room was a little small and the shower was also small. But it was a clean room.

Lovely, but the room decor needs a freshen up
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. The room (one of the outside ones) was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed including kettle and hairdryer, and it was lovely and quiet at night. The only criticism of the room is that the decor could do with a freshen up. The continental breakfast offered a good selection at a reasonable price (£5.50 each per day). We ate dinner at the Half Moon Inn on the first evening. After we were seated, we waited to have our order taken, then after some time found out that we had to go to the bar to order. This wasn't made clear to us as we were seated, and there was no note to that effect anywhere on the menu. However, the food was very good and made up for the delay in getting it ordered. Despite these small criticisms, we would stay here again.

10am checkout 😱
Apart front the ridiculously early check out time of 10am the half moon was great. A nice little room for the price. The bed was ok albeit a bit squeaky. It kind of reminded us of the roadside motels you see in the movies but without the ice machine outside! Food in the adjoining pub was good and came quickly. I can imagine you could wait a while for your food at busy periods and it does get very busy in there. Staff were friendly and approachable and the check in process was a breeze. I would definitely consider staying again if the check out time was later. 10am seems awfully early!!

Excellent stay and good value
Friendly welcome and plenty of parking. The room was in the courtyard clean and comfortable bed. Tea, coffee and biscuits and a fan very welcome in this heat. Courtyard outside room for residents use only after 6pm and it was very quiet. We will definitely be back.
