    Butcher and the Rye

Meaty New American dishes and an upscale whiskey selection

    Butcher and the Rye
    • Food

Butcher and the Rye might serve the most innovative of New American cuisine, but the restaurant also has a strong old-school vibe. That could be the décor – wood paneling, chandeliers and antler heads – or it could be the focus on that most traditional of beverages: whiskey. There are over 600 different varieties to choose from, as well as an extensive menu of cocktails that feature the amber liquor.

The food is equally a mix of classic and contemporary, featuring rich and meaty dishes – think roast chicken with fennel, rigatoni with duck liver in brandy, or venison sausages with chili pan frito. The Steak Diane comes highly recommended, pan-fried and served with potato pave and black truffle.
