    Galveston Book Shop is a hidden gem located in The Strand area of Galveston. This quaint little store offers a wide variety of new and used books, a perfect stop for any reader. You'll find collectable and antique literature as well as modern cookbooks among its collections.

    There’s seating throughout the 2-storey shop where you’re welcome to spend time scanning through your favorite reads. The Book Store also has on its shelves a group of DVDs and LP records. We're lucky to still have this special store as it was almost destroyed when a hurricane tore through the island. On your way out the door, check the water markings on the wall to see the flood line roughly 7 ft above ground level.
