Cheongganjeong Pavilion towers above the sea and the Cheonggancheon stream that flows down from Seoraksan Mountain. While it's a popular sunrise spot, the pavilion is also worth visiting after dinner.

The soothing sounds of the waves crashing on the beach below provide a wonderful backdrop to enjoy the sparkling lights of the hotels and restaurants that line the coast. Here, the night scene is particularly romantic when there's mist out on the water. There's no surprise that the pavilion is popular with poets looking for inspiration.

    Baegseom Observation Deck

Soak up views of the East Sea and Goseong’s coastline

Baegseom Observation Deck is perched on Baegamdoran Rock – a large rocky island near Geojin Harbor. You can access the observation deck along a short bridge. Even though it’s a solid and sturdy bridge, the waves give the illusion that the bridge is shaking.

In the evening, the bridge and rocks are lit up. Watching the powerful waves swirl and crash against the rocks is a thrilling experience. If the bridge and observation deck are closed, you can climb the steps up to Geojin Sunrise Forest Bath, a viewpoint across the road offering expansive views of Baegamdoran Rock and the East Sea.
