Entry to The Georgian Town House Hotel
Insofar as I was travelling some 300 miles from Scotland to attend a family function in the centre of Liverpool, and given my prompt departure to reach Liverpool, I had not seen the 8:19am e-mail instructions to gain access to the hotel and the allocated room.
Thankfully, I had noted the contact number for the Georgian Town House Hotel; the operator was both patient and helpful as I struggled with baggage and a phone-in-hand to gain entry.
I would suggest also sending the ‘check in’ instructions by mobile text-message in advance.
Room Number 8 (Single)
The room was clean and tidy, if a little cramped – there were, though, several indentations/ holes in the plasterboard walls.
The bed was comfortable with clean linen, pillow and duvet.
The bathroom facilities were fresh and clean, though with minimal space to place personal items/ toiletries.
Though with minimal time to use the television, in turning it on to access news headlines and/or a weather forecast, the picture/video was in constant rotation on all channels with distorted sound – so, in essence, unusable – and no apparent access to radio channels.
Since I only required accommodation for one night, the room was adequate to my needs - I am not sure it would have been satisfactory for a longer stay.
