Nice pub with rooms. Rooms are housed in a purpose build annexe. They are nice rooms

Brilliant staff and service
I booked this hotel as I was attending a funeral nearby. The manager and all the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are simply furnished, but clean and comfortable. I noticed that some of the rooms were being updated while we were there. I had the Sunday lunch (Steak pie and veg) which was excellent and plenty of it too. The breakfast is of the continental style with no limit on what one ate and bottomless tea and coffee. We had to be out of the room by 11am. And as the service was not until 12.30, The management allowed our group to sit in the restaurant and even laid on more coffee for us 5 star staff and service

A warm welcome, large comfortable bedroom with a modern shower room. The breakfast is buffet style with good choice of options, the restaurant has a good menu and the portions are very generous. We would definitely stay again.

Comfortable, quiet, clean and a wonderful breakfast. The pub also provides an excellent supper. The bangers and mash was delicious!

Top location, friendly staff & excellent bar meals
Located in a lovely little village and handily placed for Driffield and the coast. Staff super friendly and helpful. Evening meals were decent, I really enjoyed eating here, except the breakfast which was a bit pants to be honest. Rooms were ok for the price paid, think travel lodge standard and you won’t be disappointed. The only irritation was the disco downstairs which went on till midnight, otherwise a lovely stay

2/10 Poor

We stayed in room 5 (family room) it was so run down and tatty! Holes in the walls, spiders in the corners of the room, damp and cracked plaster around the windows, stained bedding! Just grim! Then to top it off, when we arrived for breakfast there was nowhere for us to eat!!! A party of 15, staying at the hotel had all the tables reserved together! Absolutely shocking service!

6/10 Good

Its beautifully situated on the village green and is popular with locals as a pub and for dining. The latter is not surprising as our evening meals were superb, staff really helpful and we complimented the chef for that. Breakfast, a buffet as advertised on booking, was however unexciting. We had chosen the cheaper rooms and we understand the more expensive 'downstairs' rooms would have been more up-to-date. The immediate surrounds, as a parking lot, detracted from the location in this pleasant village.

Mould and damp in room with a broken toilet seat. In need of a renovation.

* Does what it says on the tin!* We booked a Premium King Room at the White Horse, room spacious and immaculate, ensuite clean with toiletries provided, standard teas, coffees also provided etc. The bed was comfortable room spacious. We were in newer ground level block of rooms which are a short walk to the pub. Self service continental breakfast was in the main building. Even though it was classed as continental there was the option to make boiled eggs and a toaster. Food was plentiful and staff, although minimal, were helpful. This was a one-off booking due to its proximity to local train station (10 mins walk away) and was perfect for our stay. There is nothing negative to add, all went smoothly including early check-in. I would have liked to try Sunday lunch as the lack of english breakfast does somewhat take the edge off after a night out. However, we knew what we had booked and the location was perfect for our needs. Would use again if required.
Helen, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I had a terrible experience at the White Horse. The rooms were small, creaky, and I couldn't get a good night's sleep due to the noise. The bathroom was tiny and outdated, with a noisy fan. I was constantly woken up at 2:30 am by the people next door and the loud laughter from the pub downstairs. The shower, sink, and kettle were all noisy, making it impossible to relax. To top it off, there was no shower gel or shampoo provided, and the TV was a tiny 9-inch screen with a malfunctioning sky system. Definitely not worth the money, would not recommend.

6/10 Good

Put in disabled room, which was not needed and not advertised. Booked twin, but had emergency chords by beds and disabled shower, nothing wrong with this, but if we had been told beforehand we would have booked elsewhere. Dont bother with breakfast, just toast, cereal and not much of that.
Sarah, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Perfectly adequate and cheap. Coffee not great.
I didn't expect much for the very modest price I paid. This is, after all, a pub with rooms. The room was clean but a bit shabby and basic, about what I expected. The bed was a little unforgiving and my sleep quality wasn't quite what I usually get. Breakfast was exactly as dscribed and was perfectly adequate apart from the really weak filter coffee. Our breakfast host did appear flustered, slightly "falty towers" in approach. Would I stay again? Yes I would.
David, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Room was clean, but dated and some furniture that was damaged. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. There strong smell of an illegal substance coming into the room with the window closed. Ended up blocking the door gap with a towel and opening the window. The radiator came on full at 11pm and over heated the room. Had to get out of bed and turn the system off.
