Definitely extremely pretentious. Wished it was more welcoming! Hopefully the longer they’re around the more they’ll figure out how to fit into how we do things in Denver. Wouldn’t go back, there’s many other hotels that offer the same (not a long besides a bed), with great atmosphere and “cool” vibe. Wish they offered some sort of discount for people staying in a room for the food.

Loved our stay at the Populus Hotel. The design is so fun and the details throughout were very thoughtful. Bed was comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed the coffee shop downstairs in the mornings.
The only thing that wasn’t great was the lighting in the sink area. It was pretty terrible to get ready and apply makeup. Ended up taking the mirror to the bench in the window.

Best Tree House Ever!
We had an incredibly pleasant stay. The staff was welcoming and friendly, from the vale, to the front desk, to the hostess, to the waite staff and bartenders. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The theme and design of the hotel were ingenious! The location was perfect for any place you wanted to go to downtown. We did not get to go to the roof top restaurant because they were booked. We highly recommend a reservation, which we will do next time. Anniversary night here we come!

Everything about it was unique. We felt like we were living in a treehouse with 5 star amenities. The art, the aesthetic, the food. Soooo good.

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful rooftop bar. Staff were all exemplary. Room facing Colfax Ave. was too loud with traffic noise. Food and drink was overpriced even for a unique "local" experience.

Perfection in Denver
Populus is a Must stay and eat!! Every detail from the room to the restaurant is perfect. The view from the room overlooking City Center was crazy the design is an Aspen tree. Every detail in the room was 💯! This is a must either just a dinner or a stay.

Perfect for Couples
Just amazing architecture. Beautiful. Rooms are very quiet! We didn't hear anyone else. Beds and pillows were so comfortable. There is not a desk in the room we stayed in. But we were not there for work. The second floor does have conference amenities, chill out space, tables and chairs. Coffee from the lobby was spot on. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Overall this was the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Denver, it’s very unique, upscale, and the architecture is out of this world! The location of the property was perfect for the activities that we were doing such as going to see the Broncos game and Denver basketball ball game. I do wish they had their own parking not just valet because parking in the parking garage then walking back is not the safest. And for both of the restaurants I hope they add more to their menus. This hotel is a 9/10! Totally would recommend

The dopest hotel in Denver! Everything was perfect. The restaurant is sublime – especially the Savory Beignets. Orlando went above and beyond to take care of us. The view from the 13th floor patio is the best view of Denver you can get without a drone! We will stay here EVERY time we are in town!yt

We went here for the unique architecture and beauty. It was beautiful for sure. My ONLY complaint was the sustainability preaching. Felt like woke virtue signaling and that's not why we went. But super pretty rooms, comfy beds, gorgeous views and convenient location. Worth spending a night there for sure.
