The front desk staff and house keeping are incredible and deserve a raise, but the Concierge desk is going to make this place lose money. When I attempted to cancel the Sales presentation that I was forcefully set up for upon arrival, I was yelled at by the employee who set it up. He became creepy, emotional and blatantly unprofessional insisting I ‘help him out’ and show up ‘just to get coffee’. When I politely declined, he turned into a 7 year old throwing a tantrum & screaming “Fine!”, then hanging up on me. I’m still in shock. He did this on a company phone, in the middle of the lobby, with no concern of being reprimanded. No other place in the world could you speak to a Guest that way and not immediately lose your job.
However, the other reviews suggest that this happens frequently with concierge and sales, so it seems they are encouraged to behave this way.
While I personally wasn’t interested in a time share, I have an aunt and uncle who would love that place. Being as close as it is to golf courses alone would sell my uncle. If their employee had exercised an ounce of professionalism and general decency, the Wyndham could have easily had 2 new owners. This property has probably lost a fortune from belligerent, infantile sales employees that freak out immediately after being told ‘no’.
