I stayed with my husband at the Canalta Lodge for 4 nights and the hotel itself is nice. Rooms are modern, nicely decorated and big.
I really enjoyed the hot tubs after a day of skiing and the complimentary s'mores were a nice touch. However, this social area can get a little crowded and it may not be as relaxing when little kids are running and screaming around. Probably this just happened because kids were still on vacations, so I guess this is not a problem if you visit during off-season.
The complimentary breakfast is ok and appreciated, but after a few days of eating the same, you get bored. The cleaning could be improved, I found dirty papers on our bedroom the night we arrived and cleaning was not done for 2 days. I had to call the front desk in the afternoon to get it cleaned. Bedding could be improved too; the sheets and duvet were very thin.
Staff was ok, however, the only person we recall being super nice and friendly at all times was Keiran, he has always eager to help.
It is close to town, around 15min walking but if you go during winter season, I would recommend having a car due to the freezing temperatures.
Overall it's a nice hotel for the price.
