We were at the hotel due to a medical procedure at St. Mary’s Hospital. We arrived at the front desk to check in and had to wait 15 minutes for the clerk to get off the phone to check in the long line of people that had been standing there waiting. After we checked into our room we went over to the hospital without really looking at the condition of the room. We did notice, however, when we dropped our luggage in the room that it was extremely musty smelling, I compared it to the smell of smelly feet, but we didn’t have time to tell the clerk about it because we had to get over to the hospital for the procedure.
When we returned to the room after a long day of waiting at the hospital, we found the room smelling even worse. We went to use the sink in the bathroom and there was water sitting in it, and we could not get the plug to open to drain it. After struggling with it for quite some time, we did get it open, but had to keep it held open with a lid from a coffee cup. Black disgusting stuff gurgled up out of the drain once we got it open. We decided not to use the sink at all because it was not draining as it should’ve. We tried calling the front desk, six times to let them know about the sink in case they wanted us to move rooms, but no one answered the phone.
We used the sink in the area by the coffee maker to brush your teeth and wash our face. In the morning when we went to use the shower, we also discovered that the shower would not drain properly either.
