Node Hotel will please the design fans - it's uber cool which is refreshing considering you are in such a beautiful historic city. The rooms are lowly lit and the amenities are all as you would expect from this hotel too. I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but it did look great and well presented. My only feedback would be the room itself was incredibly small (it felt more like a university single dorm room). For one person it was manageable but moving around there with another person and 2 suitcases would be very uncomfortable so do opt for the larger room if available.

Was away from all the bustle. It was a very quiet area but was still close to everything. The staff were super friendly and the cafe in the Hotel was great. Would definitely stay here again. We stayed in 4 hotels during our stay in Japan and this was by far the best. It was a smaller hotel within walking distance of some main attractions. The staff were incredible at dealing with our every request, including arranging for our luggage to be transferred onto the next hotel. The room was a good size for Japan with plenty of pace for our luggage and a comfy bed. We didn't eat at the restaurant but It looked like it served some good food.

My husband and I got to stay here back in October for our honey moon. My biggest regret was only staying here for 2 nights, the hotel was very clean, the lady at the front desk and the workers in the restaurant were extremely friendly. They made our stay very special, and we are forever grateful for the service we were given. The hotel is in a great spot, the hotel felt very upscale, probably one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. The food and drinks at their restaurant were absolutely delicious. We did both breakfast and dinner while we were there. From the moment we set foot in the hotel to the moment we left they made us feel extremely welcomed and at home. If you find yourself going to Kyoto do yourself a favor and stay here. You will not regret it! Thank you all for the wonderful hospitality!

The cons - not super close to metro (compared to another hotel that I'd cancelled for this one) and my room was very damp...like all the time, including the bedding. The pros - the staff were AMAZING! They were super helpful, whatever I needed they were attentive and this location stood out in terms of making me feel comfortable in Kyoto. I would absolutely return if they could take care of the dampness in the room.
