The property, although clean and modern was incredibly noisy. The music in the rooftop bar continued until 2am each morning and the local glass collection service started from 7am. It was difficult to get to sleep and stay asleep because of the lack of soundproofing.

They are the best people you can meet while you travel. They treat you like a family. The room was impeccable. Location is the best. For us departing early, they prepared fruits, breads and drinks. It was very impressive. This was our second visit to this hotel. Will recommend and stay again next time.

Liked, but did not love this property. The rooms are very small, there is just a few rooms at this hotel and no common areas so basically had to limit the time spent at the hotel as it was not pleasant. The staff went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and very nice but there was just 1 person working every role at the hotel (parking, luggage, check-in etc) so there was a lot of waiting. I paid USD 500 for one night and it was not worth it for the price.

A gem! Family run, charming, first-class service
Sei Stelle Mama was an absolutely wonderful place to stay! From the moment we arrived in town, we felt completed tended to and taken care of. The atmosphere is warm and caring, the breakfasts on the terrace were plentiful and delicious. I would definitely stay there again. HIGHLY recommend!

Amazing!
Great family hotel! They are very welcoming and go above and beyond! Use the rooftop deck for drinks- it overlooks the square for performances and no one was up there to enjoy the views! Amazing homemade breakfast fresh from their farm as well. Highly recommend staying here perfect location and arranged a car park for us

smell of sewage in room
Staff harassed us on arrival to them them what we wanted for breakfast the next day. Then the room stank of sewage and the shower leaked so badly all the way into the tiled bedroom floor. The sliding bathroom doors didn’t provide any privacy with gaping gaps and no lock. Extremely unideal for a romantic trip away. Very disappointed. When I spoke to hotel owner he said I could cancel reservation and he apologized. Only to find out weeks later he refused to cancel the reservation and I got charged for the 2nd night $311 when we checked out that am. Very upset about the whole stay. We left the smell of sewage in the room gave me a headache and I couldn’t take it anymore. Staff at hotel gave us a room spray and said that should fix it. Terrible!!

Beautiful property!
Great service. Very friendly family members took good care of guests. Breakfast could be improved. Right in the middle of old town square. Easy walking to many sights and restaurants in the town. Only downside was noise from X’mas eve party in town square can be heard from bedroom.

Happy until checkout
We had a wonderful time until check out when my 70 year old mum was accused of ripping a 8 stone door off its hinges, they wanted us to cover the carpenters fees!! So offended, the thread had gone in the wood, my dad looked when he had to save my mum from being crush by the door.

Wonderful stay, beautiful hotel everything is new (although bathroom isnt very private in the room!). The rooftop for breakfast is amazing, the staff is very attentive and friendly. They helped us with parking right outside the city walls so that the car was safe and secure during our stay. The location couldnt be beat.

Fells like you are in home
It was a very nice experience, they went above all our expectations, they help us with everything that we need it including the reservation at the best restaurant in town, they gave us the front table because the owners ask them. They treated us like family, we felt in home. The homemade breakfast was delicious and the location is perfect. We will come back for sure

Perfect Polignano al Mare Hotel!
We spent one night at the hotel and can't say enough good things about our stay! The owner and staff were very kind and helpful. She even escorted us to her favorite restaurant to get us a reservation! The hotel is beautifully appointed, very clean and centrally and perfectly located in the main plaza of the historic pedestrian zone. Breakfast was delicious up on the rooftop terrace. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Really cool hotel right in the exact middle
This place has literally the exact perfect location for visiting Polgnano A Mare. The rooftop breakfast is absolutely perfect, and the building is beautiful and everything inside is brand new and modern. We didn’t get a chance to sun on the roof, but there are lounge chairs, tables, etc.

Como en familia
The warm reception by Mariangela,Andrea , Daniele and the Mama went beyond all expectations. We literally felt like part of the family. It is rare in this day and age to receive such human and personal treatment. We travelled throughout Italy from Trieste to Matera and though this was not the fanciest or most exclusive property it was the highlight of our trip. Love To Sei Stelle Mama !!

Careful with this hotel!
New hotel. Great location but very small rooms. Noisy late at night and very early on the morning. Breakfast is not very good. I was given cereals that were essentially inedible. Owners need to be better acquainted with how to run a hotel. We told management about a problem in the room and my daughter wrote a fair review for hotels.com but management did not like our comments so they cancelled our next booking with less than 24 hours notice. In actual fact, this was a blessing as we found a great hotel in Matera and had a wonderful visit there as a result. With improvements, this could be a great property.

NOT a double bed, small TWIN bed and not cleaned
I have never left a review that I can think of however this hotel needs to make major adjustments. The room we stayed in was akin to a small closet and the bed was for one person, a TWIN bed even though it was advertised as a double bed, and a double room. The room itself is the size of a large closet. For this price, it is unthinkable to charge these rates. The hotel is strikingly beautiful but we had to upgrade the second night to get an actual double bed and pay an 80 € upgrade fee. A single person would be comfortable in this room. Our bathroom was not cleaned and I would share a photograph but it was unmentionable. I think the hotel is beautiful but they are brand new and need to make significant improvements as well as be more honest about the size of the bed and room. This room would be great for one person or a child. Not two full grown adults. The building is beautiful and location superb. Breakfast service bordered on ridiculous, and needs a lot of improvement. They asked us what we wanted, had a beautiful set up, but then didn’t have half of what we had requested from their list. They produced a hard boiled egg or two and some cold cuts. They should just have a small buffet with breakfast foods rather than the way they do it. Our second upgraded room was very clumsy in the layout. When we complained the first night saying the bed was two small for two adults it was met with incredulity and defensiveness, sadly. The owners mean well but prices & more are misleading

Good but could be Better
Excellent location. Fairly new with nice facilities. Regular rooms are small at about 14 square metres. No parking so have to park about 500 metres from the hotel. Staff very nice but not experienced operators. Air conditioning in room did not work properly and was not fixed during our stay. Breakfast ordered for 8.30 am but not served until 9 am. But it was excellent. All in all would recommend but it could be better.

Hotel Sie Selle Mama is located in the heart of Polignano a Mare old town giving you easy access to all the restaurants and bars as well as the beach. It’s a completely family owned and run boutique hotel that has clearly had a lot of love and attention to detail put into it. The interiors are modern and elegant which is not something you will often see in this part of Italy. It’s a tiny hotel but boasts the only elevator in the area! The service was impeccable and very warm as most of the family seems to working there. We were contacted immediately after booking to ask if we required parking reserved and were sent a couple of text messages during our stay asking if we needed anything. Breakfast is a la carte which made for a nice break after all the buffet breakfasts we had over the course of our trip. It is simple but all the ingredients come from the family farm which is a lovely touch. Breakfast is had on the rooftop terrace where you can look out over into the main square. All in all it was a fabulous 3 nights! The hotel was only opened for 3 weeks and we wish the family great success!
