Warm, historical feel at this property. Restaurant was excellent, easily accommodated GF diet. Room was the most spacious we had in three weeks of road tripping. We were warned of the live music on Saturday nights but even with the window cracked, we couldn’t hear it. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

What an absolute joy to be a guest at The George Hotel! Everything from the warm reception at the front desk to our amazing room, the delicious meals, and the very whisky-knowledgeable bartenders - a dream from start to finish. Love how dog-friendly everyone is as well, already planning a return trip!

Lovely hotel with great history
Accommodation lovely, food excellent, staff friendly. Unfortunately our stay was marred by the fact that we were kept awake until 3.30am by music and chatter and laughter below us. We were in room 11. However, after speaking to a member of staff on reception in the morning, she kindly compensated us by voiding our bill from our meal the previous night which we found acceptable. We would stay again but avoid room 11 😂.
