A very attractive and modern set of three apartments with a large outside area to relax and to dine in. It has a pleasant view over a meadow with a local traditional house to the side. There was a wonderful vegetable garden on the other side. Everything was spotless. A breakfast was delivered to the door in the morning on a covered tray.
On the downside, being in a European heatwave meant that the temperature in the bedroom upstairs was at 29c during the night. A fan moved the warm air round but with no effect on cooling. We can’t complain as we knew what to expect. Surprisingly no towels were provided but perhaps that’s typical for the area.
We had a ghastly second night, however, after eating leftover pizza from the previous evening’s visit to the hotel restaurant. We both came down with severe vomiting sickness that lasted all night leaving us very weak in the morning. We were still feeling the after effects two full days later. We took away leftover pizza in boxes as we don’t like wasting food, and as it was suggested by the affable restaurant manager who recommended a larger size for this purpose. Perhaps it’s not advisable in the middle of a heatwave. Just order one pizza to be shared between the two of you and then you might be able to manage a delicious desert afterwards or just don’t order too big a plateful in the first place.
