Best stay ever
Amazing ryokan. The best service I've had in my life. They offered a driver for our stay, and made sure we had everything we needed. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were out of this world. Room was large, clean, and quiet. Loved the private onsen and patio. Definitely worth it!!

We felt pampered the whole time! The multi-course meals were outstanding and it was special being served our food in a private room at the restaurant. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Overall I would highly recommend this ryokan experience.

most wonderful and authentic inn in japan...
it was the most memorable stay. best food served individually with someone catering to us all the time. very authentic beautifully prepared food. teppan yaki was also superb. we got lucky for some one cancelled...
the only problem was 20 stairs to the bed room and the private hot spring. we are voth 70s and was overwhelming first....i think i forgot my clothe in the shower room...is there any way i can get it?
it even snowed and though it was freezing cold, someones from hawaii enjoyed it as a bonus. hope to visit again and stay longer next time...TANK YOU, ALL...

Such a treat to get to stay at this amazing property. We particularly enjoyed the private onsen experience and the kaiseki dinner and both the Japanese & Western breakfasts. The service was impeccable, from the restaurant staff to the front desk to the drivers who shuttled us to and from the closest train station. The property is quite close to Gora where the Open Air Museum is located and the Gora station funicular.

Amazing ryokan stay in Hakone with private onsen. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were some of the best food we’ve had in Japan. Kimonos were provided to wear for meals. All the staff are super friendly and service was top notch.

Fantastic hotel which welcomed our children very warmly. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, and the food outstanding.
We loved the family room with the private onsen, and it helped make our trip to Hakone.
Ideally located for the Open Air Art park (10 min walk).

We had such an incredible stay at Hakone Suishoen. This was the highlight of our two week trip in Japan. I highly recommend staying here while in Hakone.
From the moment you arrive staff are attentive and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated and all the amenities you could possibly need are provided (nespresso coffee, a fridge stocked with drinks/light snacks, pajamas, slippers, traditional Japanese robes (we loved these!), and high quality toiletries). The private onsen was wonderful, clean, and private. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful (pictures can't do it justice!). You are served breakfast and dinner daily (you have the choice of a Western or Japanese breakfast but dinner is only Japanese). All of the food was delicious and felt "Michelin star" worthy. We booked massages and the pricing was fair for the quality and duration.
We highly recommend Hakone Suishoen and hope to be back one day!

Hakone Suishoen is an outstanding ryokan and one of our favorite places in the world to stay. From the highly attentive staff to the gorgeous room (with it's own private onsen) and the unforgettable 8-course gourmet dinner in the beautiful restaurant, we could not have loved our time there more. We were very sorry to leave and hope to return one day.
