Amazing place in Wasilla
We had an amazing stay at the Lake Lucille B and B. We would highly recommend staying there if you’re in the area. Great accommodations and a wonderful breakfast. We will definitely stay there again.

Just lovely. Spacious rooms (we had the Prickly Rose Suite), comfy beds and linens (owner is a quilter), good shower (plenty of hot water), fans in every window if you’re warm, furniture with character (really interesting decor in the room and throughout the house). Very private. Grounds are beautifully kept, long greenway down to a dock along the lake, terrace for sitting. Breakfast is absolutely out of this world. We had freshly-made scrambled eggs and sausage, hash browns, hot cinnamon rolls just out of the oven, and a variety of homemade breakfast desserts (French style). Coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal. You won’t eat again until latr afternoon! By then, you might want to try the excellent pizza at the close by Bearpaw Beer Company. Owner is super friendly.

The lady is very friendly and makes amazing breakfast. Good comfortable bed and very clean washroom. Homely vibes and the best part is the outside lake front. I would recommend this over any hotel in this area.

Off the main path, but worth it.
The home is beautifully furnished. This place is a little off the beaten path, it is worth it! Everything was spotless. Carol's breakfast was great! And, since we had to leave before breakfast on our last day, she packed us a breakfast to go. Oh, the grounds are beautiful, too. You can walk down to the lake. Comfy chairs there.

Such a pleasant relaxing stop on a busy trip! A great place to catch your breath while sitting on the dock, picking berriers, or relaxing in your own private space. The highlight was the delicious homecooked breakfast.

Comfortable room with a superb breakfast
We spent one night in the Arctic Rose Room/Suite. We arrived in the evening and the information about accessing the suite was taped to the door of the house, so we did not meet Carol until the next day. Access to the suite required climbing steps, so this would not be an appropriate place to stay if you have mobility issues. While the house is located on Lake Lucille, the suite does not have a lake view. I went outside in the wee hours in hopes of seeing the Northern Lights, but motion-detecting spotlights came on, so I was unable to see the night sky. There is parking at the back of the property and the landscaping is lovely. The Wi-Fi worked fine and the bed was comfortable. Carol and her daughter were wonderful hosts at breakfast in the morning and the selection was incredible, from scrambled eggs & sausage, to egg & pepper muffins, to spicy potatoes, to egg croissants, to fruit & yogurt, and absolutely delicious warm cinnamon rolls. All of Carol's guests agreed that it was the best breakfast ever, and Carol offered take-out containers to carry with us. The suite has a small refrigerator and microwave if needed, and coffee and tea were available as early as 7:30 a.m.

Upon our arrival at Lake Louise B & B we immediately felt like we were home. Sitting on an easy to find lot, Lake Lucille’s B & B, is perched on a beautiful three acre lake front lot which boasts ample parking for guests. The resort is well marked with elegant signage making it easy to find. The B & B is a lovely two level cabin with a mid century design complimented by a myriad of native flora which added a pop of color to the landscape. The carefully arranged bouquet of the landscape was a telltale sign of the owner’s attention to detail. My husband and I walked around the property and easily found our room. Every room was well decorated with a homey cabin decor and comfortable furnishings, giving the place a warm family feel. Carol personally welcomed us and made sure we had all we needed. Our room and bathroom were well stocked with soap, plush soft towels, extra blankets, and good lighting. Although we were there in July, Carol showed us a portable heater in case we needed to warm up. Sadly, we only spent one night at this location. Carol was a AAA Host who made us feel welcome and at home. My husband and I were scheduled to leave early before breakfast but she kindly made us a “to go breakfast the next morning. We would have preferred to stay for the full hot home made breakfast she prepares for all her guests by 7:30 am. We highly recommend Lake Lucille B&B. Thanks, Carol!

My husband and I are traveling by motorcycles ( we both ride) from Agassiz BC Canada up through the Yukon and into Alaska. We had been on the road for over two weeks and this would be out 9th place we stayed. We arrived wet from a torrential down pour, cold and tired, and Carol greeted us with warmth and kindness. We had a lot of gear to carry up several flights of stairs but it was SO worth it! We stayed in the Prickly Rose suit which overlooked the park like backyard and water view, and it was decorated so beautifully, honestly, the nicest of all the places we have stayed so far. Plus the next morning we were cheerfully greeted again by Carol and her daughter, who had cooked the most amazing and delicious homemade breakfast anyone could wish for. This Bed and Breakfast went beyond our Expectations, and I would highly recommend anyone passing through Wasilla, Alaska, to make a stop and stay here, you will not regret it .

Don’t think twice! Book it!
We were excited to visit Alaska, the last frontier. Well, we feel as though we stumbled upon the last authentic bed and breakfast as well. Staying here was an absolute game changer! We felt we had all the privacy we needed, but enjoyed all the comforts of an authentic local home. The breakfast alone is worth the price of admission! Carol (owner/operator) is an absolute treasurer and we give this 5 stars! Book before it sells out if you can!
