We only stayed one night instead of the 4 planned nights.
The hotel lobby was very run down, so not a great first impression. The hotel room was fine and looked similar to the pictures (a bit more used/run down, but that’s expected)
One of the critical points that made us change hotel after just one night, was the fact that they had construction work going on, which started around 7-8 in the morning making it impossible to sleep in and it was still on going when we checked out. It was constant banging and drilling.
Another critical point, was the area. When we arrived around 11 in the morning, the area seemed decent, not nice but okay.
However, when we came back to the hotel around 10 at night it was feeling super unsafe. In the street where you enter the hotel, there were at least 5 homeless people laying around and right next door to the hotel there were people openly doing drugs on the street. The next day when we left the hotel a lot of homeless people and what looked like addicts, where still in the street of hotel and nearby streets.
Very unsafe area and would never recommend booking a hotel in this neighbourhood, especially if solo travelling.
The service of the staff was very good, so no complaints there. We requested a room with a bathtub, which they provided. They volunteered to helped with the baggage as we were only one present at the check in with two peoples baggage. They were still friendly when we wanted to check out before the planned stay.
