Enough for sleeping and shower only.
The hotel is basically enough only for sleeping and shower. Room is small and very old. Air conditioning is very loud. No water boiler and hair dryer. Room and bathroom are clean but blanket is very stinky. Breakfast provided is limited and they don’t have all types of food for all guests.
Location and staff are great though.

Do not stay at this overpriced dump.
We stayed there a few nights ago, for one night, arriving there just after 4:00pm.
The woman on the desk was friendly at first and then all of sudden she snapped and demanded our passports in an aggressive tone. When in the room we noticed there was no refrigerator or towels and the buttons on the air con were missing. My wife asked for towels on 3 occasions and they finally arrived a bit after 6:00pm. They had no towels on site "they had to delivered by a woman". Went to have a shower and there was no hot water. There was black hair on the shower floor, black mould in the shower area and right across the bottom on the shower curtain. We understand there can be problems in Cuba with services. Then we get up early the next morning there was still no hot water. I have upgraded my opinion of the staff to disappointing due to the willingness of the night desk man leave the property at 5:20am.

Great location
Easy to walk to everything, great location. Nice to have a free breakfast as well. Room was fine, nothing special but it did the job! Most hotels do not have WIFI but you can buy an hour of WIFI from Hotel Seville round the corner for 2 Pesos.

Perfect location!
The location of the hotel was perfect amongst the beauty and charm of the old buildings, attractions and local people.
The breakfast was very poor and could improve vastly, very basic and little choice.
On the up side the waiters were lovely and friendly
The room was also very basic and you can only get a hot shower in the morning, as the water is cold in the evening. If you’re a light sleeper! the corridor can get very noisy outside the rooms with guests passing by to the lift/stairs.
Overall 8 out of 10, more for the location.

Great location
Excellent location and great value for private facilities and not a homestay. Reception organised a taxi for varadero for a very reasonable price. Be careful around Havana itself though. Lots of scams going on.

Government ran hotel - Would pass if offered again
It didn't start off well. We arrived at the hotel when they had rooms available but wanted to charge CUC to let us check in before the check in time (By less then 3 hours). We got two separate rooms and none were numbered when we got to the 4th floor. It made it a stupid game of figuring out which door fit which key. Bad customer service on their part.
The rooms itself never had hot water despite a label in my shower stating the hot water temperature. We treated it like living the Cuban lifestyle. My room didn't have the outlets labeled but the other room did (110 vs 220). The other room did not have a mirror anywhere in the room. Both smelt like mold/mildew. Both beds were pretty uncomfortable. My room AC konked out a couple of times where I had to unplug the AC and wait a few minutes and then plug it in. When the AC was on, it did cool down the room enough to sleep at a comfortable temperature.
I went to get water (1 CUC each). Not as good as on the street but I don't feel like it was overly priced for it being a hotel. I was not given change until I walked back to the counter and asked. Hotel accident?
Breakfast is very simple. They provide some constant foods (cookie, rolls, etc) with a menu for eggs/omelettes. It was not fancy or made me feel like I was eating at a 5 star restaurant but free is always great price.
I was always unsure on what to tip the maids. They generally folded up towels in a pretty formation and sometimes turned on the AC for us.

Good for the Price
This is an a good and affordable hotel close to a lot of the most popular streets in Old Havana. The rooms are nothing extravagant but they were clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was includes with our room at the hotel which was nice. Staff is friendly.

Okay, but not great.
Stayed here one night, before we headed back to the airport. The good: Great location, near central park & old havana - quick walk to both and the cathedral. Felt safe/secure. Friendly, helpful staff - great mojitos at the bar in the lobby. :) The not so good: Our room (on the 4th floor) was pretty old/run down and I'd give it a 3/5 on cleanliness. AC didn't work great (more like a fan). For a little more $ in Havana I think you can find nicer (we got a decent deal for two night at the The Loft Habana - much nicer in my opinion) and we stayed at much nicer "home stays"/B&B type places in Varadero for 1/2 the price.

In and out
As soon as I got to the hotel they said there was a problem with the water and sent me to one of their partner hotels (which ended up being great). If this happens to you and it's your first time in Havana, you'll end up appreciating not staying at this location.
