Few days in Koror after a dive boat.
An incredible hotel. The location and views from the hotel are stunning, the hotel fantastic, the staff are extremely attentive. I highly recommend this hotel for a great stay in Koror.

First off the hotel is in my opinion situated in one of the best locations in Palau. Beautiful lagoon/beach access, just outside of the main area in Koror. Close enough to everything you need but isolated enough to feel private and secluded. The room you get will make a difference in the overall feel you get. Since I wasn’t planning on leaving the hotel much I opted for one of the rooms with a deck and I totally loved the view. This is probably the closest you could get to a bungalow over the water without actually being in a bungalow over the water. They have their own little beach area, dock access, and small pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful and most rooms come with a continental-ish breakfast. Breakfast selection was limited but it did have omelets to order and some meats like ham and marinated pork so it was more than just a continental breakfast and more than I anticipated. [Update] the breakfasts kept getting better and better as the days went by. Definitely caters to more Asian tastes but still good. All that said there are things to be forewarned about. I had a really nice bathroom and bathtub but there was a bad smell coming from the drain(s?) which I endured the first night. The hotel maintenance and housekeeping worked on it but it wasn’t fully resolved. They, along with the front desk staff, were caring and responsive. It’s important to keep in mind that Palau is tropical so there were bugs in the room. Not a lot but enough to be noticeable.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent; good food but the same menu every day with only 1choice of fruit offered (oranges). The hotel was in a quiet location with a small beach area and walkable to a couple of good restaurants (The Barracuda and Elilai). My only complaint is the BEDBUGS. The hotel was notified and said they checked the beds. They responded by saying they didn’t find any in the room or adjacent rooms. Unfortunately, the bedbugs were there and I think it is prudent to leave this review. The money spent on our stay wasn’t worth the hassle.

Palau Hotel
The hotel was conveniently located with several restaurants in walking distance. The staff was helpful. Omelets were made to order at breakfast. However, there was very little fresh fruit, only orange slices everyday (we stayed here twice, before and after our drive boat trip). Kayaks were fun for $20/day with excellent areas to explore. Wi-Fi was good in the room but spotty in the lobby.

We have been returning to this property many times over the past 20 years, The breakfast has declined in selection and taste. Further for people traveling from the US they should take into account the horrible flight schedules and adjust their prices accordingly.

Had a great day the staff was amazing. The only downside was the pool was closed for maintenance while we were there.

Overpriced for a dated hotel. It was a bit annoying that a Bentley and Rolls Royce blocked the entry to the hotel on a daily basis. The food was mediocre at best and expensive. However, the front desk was helpful and polite.

Lovely hotel surrounded by beautiful waters! The staff are so friendly (as are all the people of Palau we’ve noticed). Food is delicious and varied. We loved kayaking and snorkeling all around; amazing how many fish there are just here in the lagoon. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely staff here again!!!

Beautiful grounds and snorkeling to see a plane wreck and giant clams from the hotel beach. Breakfast was good and the wait staff was great! Front desk clerks were prompt to help with anything we needed (towels, umbrella, etc.). The room was modern and clean. Will stay here again if return to Palau

Good location, 4* hotel
Location is magnificent; close to mart about 100 meters away, restaurant is also close by. The hotel provide a security locker at reception but no safe box at room. The breakfast is very basic and may not suit vegetarian diets. Toilet paper is not good and shower head need to be changed to something bigger and wider (its like a telephone handset). Very weak Wi-Fi service in rooms and only available in guest lobbies. So no Wi-Fi is offered in the ground where you unusually wait or dine!!

Bad hotel pick for the Paradise Island
Great location, super snorkeling bay at their private beach, huge coral riff, even with an underwater aircraft wreck 👍 my two stars are going for the beach. But... Hotel is run by Chinese, and actually for Chinese only.... as a European tourist you don't feel welcomed. Chinese breakfast (except the egg station and toast...), for lunch and dinner there's only Chinese food, even the aircon remote control is in Chinese (good luck with setting your room's temp), tour desk as well (when I asked for help, I was referred to Google and Expedia, thanks). They are running at 30-40% occupancy due to the corona virus and other travel restrictions, but late check out was refused, not even an extension of an hour or two was possible. You would think they need guests, but obviously not. More con's: bar seems to be shut down now for a while, wifi is weak and only available in the lobby. Definitely not my choice when I return to Palau next time 😔

Snorkeling was great with sunken wwII plane just off beach. Desk was helpful with rental car, kayak reservations and finding a lost valuable item for us. Breakfast catered more to Asian tastes but offered a made-to-order omelet.

Nice place to stay. Small beach with not great snorkeling, but that’s not the hotels fault. Very nice dock area to hang out and watch fish from above. Decent breakfast is included. Always had eggs made to order and sausage, fruit and pastries. The front desk was okay but not real helpful. I think they don’t have much authority. Tried to get a day room coming off a liveaboard before catching flight out. Ended up costing me a night plus early check in fee of $50, the hotel across the street would have done it for less than half the price. They did a good job of getting me to and from the airport though, which took a lot of areas off me. WiFi in one of my rooms worked great, the other room it did not work at all. So a mixed bag.
