This is the second location of a Ruby franchise I have stayed at and was not all that pleased.
We checked in a little before 3:00 as they said all their rooms were ready. We checked into our room and was immediately greeted with a horrid smell coming from the towels, where then I saw hair on them-but they did seem to be “clean”. Next there was left over liquid residue on the counters. The toilet still had fecal matter and hair on it, the tissue box had one tissue left in it. The lockbox never even worked and left this awful sound on. We immediately went down to the front desk where we asked if we could get a different room or have this one looked over again to the front desk clerk.
Immediately a housekeeper yelled in German(as we were speaking in English) to the clerk that somethings we don’t understand and that there’s no more rooms or housekeeping staff. The clerk offered that when he got off his shift he would check it out and clean up the room.
The clerk did sort the cleaning out, and never got a functioning safe.. we received some more drink vouchers.. Im not sure where this hotel lies with cleanliness as even at 3:00 there’s not a housekeeper and they practically press you to take vouchers instead of getting daily cleaning.
As someone who has worked 10+ years in hospitality, I feel the housekeepers attitude towards us and the issue were merely unprofessional and distasteful.
I did receive a email the day before about construction-was not a fan of the 7:30 chainsaw.
