The apartment was gorgeous! Large & airy, amazing location. A few issues… I had to track down someone who spoke English in order to get access to the apartment. Right after I booked the apartment a few months ago, they did send me information about parking, but there was nothing about a code to get the key for the apartment. I booked through Expedia, which was probably part of the problem and probably would’ve had fewer issues had I booked directly. Expedia also gave the incorrect address of the apartment which caused confusion. We finally got into the apartment and were very pleased with it. Unfortunately, zero toiletries were provided. No hotel size shampoo, soap, etc. Luckily we had a little bit with us from previous hotels, but this is a simple thing that should be stocked at the apartment. Also, an amenity that was advertised was laundry in the unit. This was not correct, again we had to speak with the desk at the hotel adjoining, get a key for another apartment, and use their laundry, which was not very convenient. The hotel beds were very comfortable, have a nice quality, linens, and plenty of fluffy towels were provided. Beware, it is difficult to find a place in Duernstein to eat dinner past a certain hour as most of the business comes in the middle of the day from the river cruises that stop in the early part of the day.
