Very accommodating and made to feel very welcome - the room had everything you would need for a 1 night stay - decor very dated in need of a bit of paint - had a great shower - en-suite dated but spacious - bedding was clean and crisp - bed was hard so not for us but could suit someone else. Cheap and cheerful - breakfast was great - very friendly all round

Weekend off
We were greeted with a friendly smile from Heather. Made to feel welcome instantly. Staff were lovely. Bedroom was clean and the bed comfy. Yes there's room for an update of the bathroom but it all works. Breakfast was good and a friendly smile and welcome each morning from Martin. Hotel bar was good with banter from the locals. Lovely find in Castle Douglas. The staff were friendly and helpful. The locals were friendly too. Bar was well stocked. Room was clean and large with everything you need in it. Easy to come and go as you please. Breakfast (and the service) was 10/10. Plenty of parking at the rear. Can't recommend enough.
