Clean with comfortable bed and wonderful towels. It is small, but it was built for another time. We had a good meal across the street at Roy Rogers and a good sleep. We left by 7:30 and we had to ask for some half and half for coffee (powdered creamers available- yuck).
Overall, a fine place for an overnight.

Very unclean! The wallpaper was stained and the hotel looked like a fire trap. We left and did not get a refund.

This hotel is exactly as described. It is a very old hotel with lovely quirks. If you are expecting a 5 star hotel, you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a unique experience with an open mind and love antiques, the hotel is wonderful. The bed was comfortable. The town really has nothing to do and the only food is across the street at the bar. The food was good and reasonably priced. The only complaint is that for a VERY small town, there is a lot of noise on main street and mufflers are optional. While the hotel has no control over this, we have opted for other options if we pass this way again.

I have been staying at The Kempton for the last six years. it is quiet, comfortable and safe. The bathroom at the end of the hall way is shared, but is generally not a problem. Terry, Montana is a charming tiny town.
The pricing is excellent, although I do feel that the pet fee of $35 is much higher than most places.

If you are looking for a modern facility, don't go here and turn around and give a bad review. If you enjoy a nostalgic stay in a historical building with it's old time feel, come here. The rooms and beds were comfortable. The decor was cute and appropriate for the old building. It was a fantastic stay in a friendly place with the unique traits of an old building. I will go back again the next time we head that way.

The room we stayed in was disgusting. The wall paper had water stains everywhere. The ceiling was falling down in the second room. Plugs were over the limit making the lights flicker. The train keeps you awake constantly.
I’m pretty sure it would not pass safety inspection. The photos on the website are NOT what the hotel looks like. Very expensive for a hazardous dump.

Tvs in two of the rooms didn’t work. Couldn’t connect to Roku in single bed room. Couldn’t change channel in first bedroom. Center room worked fine. We loved the rooms, friendly staff, and homey atmosphere.

This is a very quaint old property that has been updated. Small rooms, but clean & well appointed. It was very quiet!
Be aware this is a tiny town with few services. Not even a restaurant, so the lack of breakfast in the hotel was a disadvantage.

Staff was very helpful…loved the antique feel, but the rug had a bit of an odor to it. Lock on room door didn’t feel super secure. However it was quiet and quaint. Nice people to talk to in the area.

This hotel is more of a museum than a hotel. The collection of old pictures on the wall, old wall paper, vintage furniture etc is a delight. And the owners are friendly and the coffee strong. What more could you ask for. And don’t miss the Cameron Museum 2 blocks away.

Wonderful historic hotel and well maintained, but historically small rooms and funky features. We got a room with a private bath that was new and very nice.

As others have noted, having to share a bathroom with other guests is a little unusual. But the staff are very helpful and the building is well worth visiting for its decore. The rooms are pretty small and the stairs are steep but we enjoyed our visit.
