The old gal’s got life in her yet!
This hotel shows its age with worn furnishings and grungy bathroom grout, but the bed was very comfortable and the room very quiet midweek. We walked the block + to the sister hotel, the Penn Wells Lodge, for the complimentary hot breakfast, which was tasty.

The staff was wonderful and so was the food in the hotel's restaurant. However, as an "historic" property, its rooms are much smaller and cramped than modern rooms. I have no idea how a "plus-sized" person would be able to use the toilet in our room. It was in an alcove that wasn't much wider than the toilet itself.
