We needed this hotel for bed and shower while we visited family over at Magdeburg, it was very close to family house and the train station. It is quite at night but missing air conditioning although the windows open and it was not bad temp. When we stayed.

Budget option and you'll get what you pay for
Definitely a good cheap option. The shower was tiny and the beds were split making it impossible for two people to sleep together. The area isn't close to anything including the tram line so you have to drive or walk 20 min to get anywhere. That being said it was nice enough and the staff is courteous, and everything was clean. If you're looking for a budget-saving option this is a good choice. I'd definitely recommend the breakfast, not because of its quality, which is fine, but because it's a good price and there's nothing else in the area.

West of the Hauptbahnhof...
You are staying west of the train station in a city that still captures the essence of the ex DDR. Ultra quiet, gloomy, winter dark and mysterious. LeCarré anyone? Staff competent but stern. Doors slam noisily and can be unnerving. Free buffet a good deal. If you want to experience what would have been a posh DDR hotel for party leaders: this is it!
