Impolite manageress
This is the second time I have stayed at this Lodge. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the manageress made me feel like I was doing her the favour by staying at the lodge.
I called the day before to advise that I may be late in checking in. The response was aggressively that they knock off at 9pm, not offering any alternatives to that. When arriving at 8pm, I was reminded that I was EARLY! I was then attacked for paying the wrong fee. I had simply booked and paid the rate that came up on the website. I was told that the money was not through and that I should pay the rack rate of R600. Luckily both the credit card payment notification and email confirmation were on my phone which I checked on getting back to my room. My husband confirmed that he had a similar experience with the manageress on our last visit, less than 1 month previously.
The experience left a bad taste in my mouth for what should have been a comfortable and convenient stay.
