We did enjoy Levisa... the beach was beautiful
We really enjoyed the staff at Las Bisas, the reception at the main counter was a bit curt. We also found that the dinningroom staff was efficient but could not keep up, a second staff on the floor woud not have been a bad idea.

This hotel is the only property on Cayo Levisa. The inclusive buffet is substandard. The rooms are damp and dated. It’s difficult to get towels. The mattresses are rock hard. And any added activities, you must pay for. The beach offers little respite from the hotel. It’s covered with washed up seaweed that is teaming with Man of War. It’s rare to see tourists actually in the water. Day trippers flood in on the morning ferry and take up the main part of the beach. There are a few cabanas and they will set up shop until their departure later in the day. Tip: there are three ferries leaving Palma Rubia. 10:00am, 2:00pm and 6:00pm. They depart the island at 9, 1 and 5pm. Make sure to take the 2:00pm ferry into Cayo, as the hotel will not let you check in until 3:00pm. Time moves slow when there’s nothing to do.

Awesome setting on powder white beaches but a v long bumpy road to get there plus uncertain times for boat ferries to take you over plus no one to help you drag bags to far away hits on dilapidated boardwalks which was a problem w elderly (or young ) family! A lot of broken down beach beds littering property and bad food at resto.. However beach is great.

Tranquility at Cayo LaVisa
Most of all, loved the beach and privacy of my bungalow with its ocean facing view of the ocean. Food at buffet was poor- stuck to the grill & upcharged items like lobster which was generally wonderful!

A real slice of paradise!
The location is absolutely fantastic. The beach is lovely, the water is warm and the lack of things to do was bliss. This really is a place to come and do absolutely nothing apart from relax on the beach, help yourself to some all-inclusive food and drink some cocktails.

Nights in paradise
I love my stay at Cayo Levisa. Front side stay in front of the most pristine beach I seen in my life. The staff was beyond wonderful! The receptionist Alberto went beyond and above. The servers angel and Miguel were warm and kind as well. I loved all the staff!!! The buffet food were great. I loved that they had so many options and a chef that grills from BLD. I didn’t have any expectations of the room but was surprised by their comfy pillows, tv and ac! Will def come back here

It was a bit boring and lonely for a solo traveler but very nice otherwise.

Great location
We loved the location. The isolated beach is wonderful and the water very clear. The guy at the reception desk seemed annoyed by our questions, but was able to answer them. We stayed in a bungalow and it was nicer and much bigger than we expected. The water pressure is poor and the shower heads could use some attention. There are no screens on the windows (do they have screens in Cuba?), so mosquitos come in if you open them. There is room for improvement in the restaurants, but they do have french fries upon request at the bar. At night they turn on lights, which is needed but brings TONS of bugs. So much so that we rushed out ASAP because they were all over us. Again, room for improvement (screens, candles, fans..anything). Overall, we enjoyed the experience, but probably won't return.

Cayo Levisa Beach resort
The 'hotel' is in a lovely remote location. There is nothing on Cayo Levisa other than the hotel which is a collection of various size wooden beach chalets of various levels of comfort. It is a State Run enterprise. There are a few beach activities but quite frankly a three day stay would be more than enough for anyone as there is nothing else there at all. There is no hotel swimming pool. As vegetarians (our choice I know !) we found the food really terrible. Choice was very limited. Staff were OK without being overly helpful. If I ever returned to Cuba I would not bother to return to Cayo Levisa.

Not many things to do without paying. Good food but not great regarding the price of the room. Same for the room, good but not great for the price. Drinks could and should be included in the price.

Four Days in CL Heaven
We just returned from 4 days at Cayo Levisa. I am not a fan of big resorts, lots of drunken partying and endless buffets so this place was awesome. We loved the beach and the walks in both directions. They seemed to have good activities for sailing, kayaking, manatee viewing, diving and snorkeling but we were happy left up to our own devices. The room was great, the porch was spacious and there was a nice outdoor shower and two indoor showers. The drinks were well made and not pricey. The food was good but not great. The only complaint was the water ran out a number of times and several times there wasn't hot water so we had to request this numerous times. I will tell you though that Enrique and Jorge in the restaurant & bar, Adella in house keeping and Alberto at the front desk were among the best service people we have had in traveling to over 85 countries. Super place, out of the way and definitely worth visiting. Henry & Sara December 2017

Fantastic island, but old resort
