Almost Perfect
This hotel is gorgeous and our room was clean, huge and well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable, by far the nicest we encountered in our 10 days in Mexico. The hotel is in a good location. Close to many things, but on a quiet street. It's so close to being perfect, but we felt like they needed to take our room out of service for a few days to do some maintenance. The floor boards creak extremely loudly, enough to wake you up in the night if your partner is walking on them. There were a few other minor things too like outlets that weren't attached, etc. Also the wifi in the room was very weak. I was having to reconnect every 15-20 minutes. Lastly, they need to work on their communication. We sent a message to the hotel a couple weeks prior to arrival through hotels.com and never received a response. Also we were confused about what to do when we arrived. An email ahead of time with instructions would have been super helpful. Once we were there and checked in and had their WhatsApp info to contact them they responded immediately. Overall I would recommend staying here. It just needs a few tweaks to fully live up to its incredible potential.

8/10 Very Good

Casa Aldana is a beautiful old building in fabulous Coyacan, very close to the market/ main square. Room are ample and tastefully decorated, and Federico, the owner, and his wife, as well as the employees are lovely, attentive, and helpful. I had a wonderful time. Some people have commented that the wooden floors in the rooms are noisy, which is true, but that's what you get in an old building with flair. The only issue for me is that the street going by has quite a lot o traffic. But with earplugs in, I slept wonderfully for the 6 nights I stayed.

great place with lots of character.
Small hotel but very well appointed room with a lot of character. Loved it! Great location too (great tacos al pastor restaurant across the street as well as perfect little coffee shop). Owners and staff are very kind and eager to please. Will definitely return and recommend.

Pretty OK
I had initially reserved a king size bed, but instead received a room with two double beds. Also, there was no hot water on the last morning we were there. Location-wise: fantastic spot and the owners are incredibly nice people.

Small charming hotel in Coyacon
The inner courtyard was beautiful and had a library where I could read or meditate. Our room was spacious and clean but had a squeaky wooden floor. Great location right near the park, Café Nego, and the mercado in Coyacon. Frederico the owner was very friendly and helpful when he could be found. His wife was not helpful. Wifi was a bit weak. Room price quite reasonable.

My friend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Aldama for 5 days/4 nights. The owners were the most kind, genuine and hospitable people that we have ever come across, treating us like family and going out their way to ensure that we are comfortable. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable, and the staff is friendly and polite. I have already recommended staying at Casa Aldama to all of my friends and family, and it will be the first place I call when I am back again in the future.

It’s like you are at home, a beautiful home, clean close to everything. When you are in Mexico City, Coyoacan is a must place to visit and this house is just a few blocks away of the main area.
