Family Resort
From pool time to beach dining, there are some great places to rest or enjoy water sports. Staff are attentive and the resort is on a quiet beach. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and also respond to Messenger or text, which is convenient for ordering lunch or asking about snorkeling. White Beach is 2 minutes away for shopping or the boardwalk. The junior suite has a nice bathbtub, fridge and balcony. Family rooms are right on the beach level. Nice!

This is our second visit and once again you did not disappoint. The staff are so friendly and will ensure you are well looked after. This hotel is in the best location in Puerto Galera with a great sunset and a very clean and quiet beach. There is also a reef a short swim offshore. Be sure to use the in house dive instructors. Well worth it even for beginners. White beach is a short walk or ride away but there is no need. You have one of the best chefs in house and every meal for 7 days perfect. Oh and try the hashbrown. Wow. Well done to all the staff and friendly management. We’ll be back for sure with friends.

Took Our Bags Outside Without Permission
Check-out time was 12noon but we were out scuba diving so we had no access to our phones and we did not see the time. When we came back to our room at around 1230pm, all our bags were outside! The room attendants were already cleaning our room. We would understand if they charged us for late checkout, but they did not. They just took our bags outside! WE WERE VERY MUCH INSULTED BY THIS. IT WASN'T EVEN PEAK SEASON so why the rush to make us leave! We were like the only guest in that floor and no new guests around. We are never coming back to this place!!!

After a previous visit, and good experience, we went again. We had a great time, very relaxing. The staff was great and took care of all our needs. My 4 year old son loved the stay and was treated great. We are thinking about our third visit. Sunset, and the staff, are a little slice of heaven.

Room need renovation! The price not reasonable for the guest.Dont trust the lock every key will be open by other guest.Check it first with other key..Beach was excellent.Facility way better than other hotel.Food inside the restaurant are expensive find good dinning restaurant along the white beach just few away to ride from your hotel.Because of tropical country you expect a poisonous centipede inside your room specially the lower floor..Before you lie down in your bed please shake your bedsheet and check every corner of your room with your flashlight.I feel sorry if your bitten by centipede, on that night you can stay in the hospital instead in your bed.Remind you it's an island not city.

2/10 Poor

I booked 2 Family Quadruple Rooms with Sea View I'd like to add that I don't typically post reviews about hotels, but I just couldn't bear the thought of letting another family stay here and share the same experience for the price they paid. Upon arrival my in laws decided to check in, over the phone the receptionist insisted I had booked through Expedia and that I had only booked 1 room. I kindly corrected her and gave her itinerary number to which she responded with a "okay fine" then hung up on me. She then gave us a room completely different than pictured. When we went to the room, my uncle immediately noticed that the towels were WET but folded neatly. When he mentioned this to cleaning staff and asked for another towel, they immediately said they couldn't and that they have a 3 day policy with changing sheets and towels. I can only assume that when we arrived there, the 3 days were not up, and we were the unlucky ones with WET TOWELS and "assumed" USED SHEETS. If we had wanted new towels they would charge us 100 pesos each towel just for something we should have gotten in the first place. It completely grossed me out. The free breakfast consisted of: 2 pcs of Bread and 2 Eggs (not even a decent breakfast) BACON/any other MEAT would need to be purchased - water also. The customer service was so poor that when my in laws mentioned to not recommend the place they responded "whatever" which is very rude. I would save my money and check in somewhere else...

Always a great stay
We had a great time at the Sunset. Nice pool and beach. Easy walk to White Beach. I feel the cost of using the tricycle to White Beach is a little high. They charge 100 pesos to drive you. We did get rides for 50-70 but the staff of the sunset told us it’s set at 100. Go and enjoy your self it’s a great place.

Beautiful secluded location
A great resort with the potential to be so much better, we had a deluxe room with queen bed with balcony overlooking beach and sea, although the bed was comfortable the room and ensuite were below average. The direct access to the beach and the breathtaking beauty of this secluded location makes up for some of the shortfalls of this resort and of course the wonderful staff who will always greet you with a smile and hello. Also the wifi didn’t work for 3 out of our 5 day stay. Still would recommend this resort and probably will return sometime. Bernard and Laila

Right on the beach!
I was very surprised with this resort. The most memorable thing about this hotel was the staff. They were awesome! The size of this resort is perfect! Not a thousand other people around like some other resorts. This place is well maintained and clean. I also noticed its typhoon proof. Concrete construction, Big heavy patio doors and windows.

Worst Hotel Service Ever!!!
Misleading food pricing (12%VAT is not yet included on the expensive food pricing, so not worth it). No drinking water available (charges you for bottled water instead). Rude staff and makes you feel unwelcome (Knocks on your door on the dot upon checkout). Additional 5% for credit card payment. Stay away from Sunset at Annual Beach resort! Worst hotel service ever!!!

Nice hotel by the beach in a quiet location
the management & staff are friendly & helpful; room interiors are very relaxing; amenities by the beach are very inviting; enjoyed the pool & the jacuzzi! the food is a bit pricey! there is a musty smell in the washroom/shower in the room that we stayed in & the A/C was located such that the vent is directly pointed to the bed , even if we try to adjust it;

Relaxing weekend getaway
The resort was beautiful. Location and setup was very relaxing. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were okay and bathroom can still be improved. But overall, amenities were excellent. We got to use the kayaks (which were free of charge). Pool was clean however lacks some signages about the depth. One pool, which we guessed was used for scuba practice, was about 12 feet deep. I was shocked when I first jumped in. Good thing we knew how to swim. We tried to reach the bottom, but felt claustrophobic since there were no lights either. No wonder no one was swimming on that side of the pool. If there was one bad thing about the place, it'll probably be the price of the food. Well, most of the guests we saw were foreigners, so prices wouldn't be that much of a problem for them. But for Filipinos, meals and drinks were just overpriced (1 mug of hot chocolate aka Milo is priced at around P270). If we were given the chance to go back to Sunset, we definitely would. However, next time, we'll be more prepared by bringing light snacks and drinks (they do not have house water btw), and probably getting a motorcycle or bringing a car since a tricycle ride to white beach costs P100. You can walk to and from white beach along the shore but you would have to pass lots and lots of big rocks. For a hiker, it's not much of a problem. But for my girl friend, it was a long long way to go. You can also walk along the road where cars and tricycles pass, but the road goes up and down

very bad experience
I have to write a review on between my stay, that explains that how p**** I am here. The staff is rude, you ask for an extra towel and they say give 100 Peso, u ask for onion in omelette - they ask for extra charges, the rooms are in pity condition, the bathrooms are worst. There are only 2 occupied rooms in whole resort, still when we came bit early yesterday to overcome Manila traffic, they kept us waiting in lobby till 12, they could have allotted room as a kind gesture only. Wi-Fi doesn't work anywhere in the resort. the biggest irony is there is no room service neither any phone in room. also the complimentary bfast is a joke, they only give u one option of continental bfast. I booked this resort after reading reviews from hotels.com and I am not getting what's promised for. This is ridiculous and I demand a return.

Homey and relaxing
A perfect place for a relaxing getaway.Very quiet, nice water for swimming and staff was amazing. They attended to our needs before we even asked and they were all very nice and efficient. The menu had a variety of choices, price was reasonable and food was very good . If anything I would wish for a kettle and some coffee/tea in the room for us who wake up very early in the morning
