The staff was great. Great value. Breakfast was very good. It was my healthiest meal of the day. Only thing not good was no fresh fruits at breakfast but they had a great green salad. Excellent location, near the train station. I’d stay again if in Shimizu again, for sure.

Clean and quiet with an efficient, friendly front desk. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent. Located less than ten minutes away from the waterfront, Tuna Town and the large indoor fish market. I would definitely stay here again.

8/10 Very Good

Property is a around the corner from Shimizu Satation in Shimizu City. There is a shopping arcade in front of the station good for lunch and dinner. Good tea shops and Tully’s Coffee. Most people go to neighboring Shizuoka for larger store shopping. Foreigners like myself come to Shimizu to train in IAIDO at Suio Ryu an excellent old style sword school.

Just what we needed
We choose the area to eat some local seafood and we were not disappointed. The room was bigger than any other we had in our stays all over Japan. The hotel was reallly close to the train station so we could drop our bags and have dinner at the close but fish market. The hotel staff were wonderful trying to help us any way they could to enjoy the area. The service was five star at such a reasonably priced hotel. They made sure we knew where to go since it was dark. They had a few suggestions of other things to do and we did not even ask. I am not kidding when I say they chased after me to hand me more information so I felt comfortable with the area. The next morning we needed to shop and go back to the fish market. This would push us past the checkout time but they had no issue with us leaving our bags for a few hours after the 11:00 checkout. I would definitely stay here if you are in the area.

Very good stay
The staff was very friendly during the check-in, and also eager to help me during the breakfast. The room was quite spacious and clean. Good quality amenities are bonus. There is breakfast buffet, and the quality of food is very good. The location of the hotel is quite close to Shimizu station and next to the local market street, and convenient for eating and shopping. Overall, a good place to stay if you visit Shizuoka.
