Hotel location is good, nearby Ximen street. 10 mins walk to Taipei MRT and Ximen MRT. Overall is great great but the air cond is keep on 18-19 degree Celsius, try to adjust to 20+, but no effect. Breakfast is boring. I stay 6 nights, the cuisine is same on 6 days. The last but not least, I leave tips on coffee table or on pillow. The crew not take it.....

a bad experience communicating with front desk
I was disappointed by a certain member of staff at the front desk who was less than polite. Most front desk staff are generally reasonable , but there are at least a couple of staff who are really stern and unhelpful to say the least. We all need to try harder.

This place is cheap. That’s about it. The staff at reception weren’t friendly. I would go as far as to say they were ignorant and arrogant. Not a smile in sight. Not helpful at all. My room was also in the basement so no windows or natural light. They didn’t mention this.

Room had a funky smell to it, and felt very damp. I requested to change rooms twice, but that didn’t help as the replacement rooms continued to be in the same condition as the previous one. Do not recommend this place.

I was disappointed in the general stern look of the front desk. It made me feel uncomfortable to ask anything. Also after asking for a room far from elevator ( ppl talking loudly near elevator constantly) , the staff I don’t know if deliberately or unintentionally put me in room where a wall formed part of the elevator lobby. My room couldn’t have been ANY NEARER to the elevator. I had to move and that wasn’t a pleasant experience either in middle of the night.

Near to XiMenDing
Walking distance to XiMen MRT station as well as XiMenDing shopping & entertainment district is a plus point. Room is spacious clean, however the wifi is weak & intermittent once away from the main lobby. So I have to get my work done & email sent at lobby in order not to use up my roaming data.

I enjoyed the breakfast buffet but the plumbing was noisy during the night that kept me up, which wasn't an enjoyable experience. The area is interesting with access to plenty of food and entertainment options. The staff were friendly and the decor of the hotel was interesting.
