The property itself is unique and the grounds are well kept. We stayed in a junior suite room, which provided everything needed and was large and very clean. We currently work in Tashkent and I had planned a surprise 'get-away' and booked two massages for my husband and me. After I had mine, we were told that there was an issue with the heating in the room, and we had to change location to our room. They would bring a massage table. However, I did not want this, as it was all a surprise for my husband, and therefore the staff provided us with another room just for his massage, complimentary tea and fruit/nuts; we were also told we will not be charged for the second massage. All went very smoothly afterwards. Upon checkout the next morning, we were not charged for my husband's massage.
Breakfast takes place in the restaurant which is spacious and tastefully decorated. Enjoyed the traditional music/musiciaians. Food was very good and varied; fruit, veggies, yogourt, cereal, breads, etc. Nice and fresh. Coffee a little weak for my taste.
Some suggestions: perhaps for the large bed in the suite, have a 2 more pillows, ensure there are two housecoats, pairs of slippers; large shower head could work a bit better. For the massage, it would nice to have a larger room for two beds for couples getting a massage at the same time, and quiet, relaxing music. But these are suggestions only.
I would definitely go back to stay at Ichan Qala. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.
