2/10 Poor

While I know I came before official check in time, no rooms were ready. There was no one at check in so I had to look for someone. They said I could wait in their sitting room for a few hours until a room was ready. I asked where their restaurant was so I could get breakfast as it was about 1030 am and they said they weren't opening the restaurant that day... Taking it as a sign of things to come, I just left and booked a room at Galle Face Hotel instead.

A beautiful colonial house in a great Colombo location. I booked 2 rooms and paid quite a lot for them, however upon arrival it seemed like they weren’t expecting us. They looked like they were in the middle of renovating but after 20 mins managed to get our rooms ready. We weren’t even offered a welcome drink whilst waiting which I found strange. The house itself is lovely, but the facilities very poor. The bar on site was closed the entire time we were there so you couldn’t even order a drink let alone food. I was told to use Uber eats instead. Breakfast had to be pre ordered the day before which is a bit inconvenient. The staff were very friendly but for the hefty price I paid per night I’d be better off staying at a bigger hotel with 24/7 facilities. In fact I stayed at Paradise Tintagel for the same price and had a much better experience. The hotel is also impossible to locate, no taxi driver can find it and as it’s on a one way road they keep missing the turning and you have to walk to the main road to flag them down.

A lovely oasis in Colombo. Off a nice street with trendy coffee shops. Fabulous swimming pool. Brilliant service. Very tasty food. We felt very well looked after. We hope to return for a couple of nights at the end of our tour of Sri Lanka.

The building, pool and gardens are stunning and the food was absolutely fantastic. We were just a little disappointed, having paid for the best room available, to find we were tucked away in the corner, with a dirty persplex roof to look down upob, with no view of the gardens. Make sure you ask for a terrace, not a balcony.

We had a wonderful time at the D Pavilion. The staff was very accommodating to ensure we had the best time during our honeymoon. They received us for a late check out and easily changed our room when we said we didn’t book the original room they put us in. The place was very clean and organised and the breakfast was nicely served. The hotel is in a quiet and residential part of Colombo which is exactly what we were looking for. Tuk Tuks are just 1 minute walk to every where you would like to go.

Hidden Gem
Love the place. The service staff are wonderful. Only complaint is that it seems to have some mismanagement issues regarding the room occupancy. They say they are booked out and then when you call they have rooms. Then when you check in and rebook rooms for next day you have to move rooms. I personally had to move 3 times on this recent trip. But anyways I did it mind but my Husband did lol. I'll stay here again and again. Lovely place!!

Best hotel in Sri Lanka
This is the best hotel stay of my life. The staff at this hotel is great, warm, lovely and attentive people and really make you feel special and at home.Rooms are nice and spacious, you have a little table outside your room with view to the pool where you can take your lunch or drinks or dinner if you so wish. The hotel is gorgeous and well decorated with a lovely sitting room, outdoor space and pool. Dinner can be stepped up a notch, but they have great club sandwiches for lunch. The neighbourhood is not touristy and you are outside of the main attractions, however the street has some nice surprises one which is Kopi Kadé which has amazing coffee and desserts (which is rare in Sri Lanka). Other than that the TV has lots of TV channels and if you love bollywood music videos or cricket (the hotel is owned by a retired professional cricket player) you will have hours of fun watching TV. If you are staying in Colombo, stay here!!!

Unique and carasmatic
The Pavillion is a classic boutique hotel nestled close to the action of Colombo, in a quiet back street. Our room was bliss. ... clean, comfortable and full of colonial character. The staff are professional but relaxed and personable as well. A few have many years of experience in the hospitality industry and offer honest travel and attraction advise. Highly recommended

One night in Colombo
The hotel is a traditional colonial house, well maintained , with beautiful antics everywhere, where you can enjoy a Elegant and relaxed atmosphere around the pool , rooms are big and comfortable, well equipped with beautyful antics furniture The staff is superb, always smiling and ready to make your stay perfect , Breakfast is ok, just that, it's not a buffet style and there weren't many options to chose. Food quality was good, and again the staff will always try to comply with all your requesr

Tranquil boutique gem
I originally booked the Galle fort hotel and thankfully cancelled as This small hotel is an oasis in Colombo. The rooms and bathroom are spacious and well appointed. The pool and surrounds are a perfect place to relax whether you are at the start or the end of your trip. The staff were the most helpful and friendly we have encountered after three weeks in Sri Lanka . Tuk tuk from Colombo fort train station was Rs1300. Make sure you get the hotel ph number as many tuk Tuks don't know. The area

Oasis of tranquility, not to be missed!
This beautiful boutique hotel was the perfect way to finish our 3 week trip in Sri Lanka. Everything about this place was perfect, the pool, the rooms. Wifi was brilliant, customer service was exceptional! We felt like we were the only guests at the hotel as its only around 8 rooms. The Sri Lankan breakfast was incredible, by far the best egg curry we had in Sri Lanka - and ever (both my mum and grandmother cook are Singhalese). The whole place is tastefully outfitted, with just subtle cricketing theme!

So much potential
The place is in an amazing old colonial building and has so much potential but it fails on a few accounts. There's an odd smell in multiple areas of the hotel. The food was of really low standard (compared to high and low tier places across Sri Lanka) and quite overpriced. Overall the hotel decor and furniture were beautiful but then they had some fake flowers and odd pieces here and there that didn't fit in at all and some places were a bit run down. The personnel was more than lovely however and went above and beyond to create a nice stay, kudos to them!

Sanctuary in the city
Beautiful boutique hotel, converted from a cricket pavillion, features high ceilings, comfortable bed, lovely salt water pool and very pleasing architecture/design to look at. Breakfast by the pool is very nice and a morning swim in the pool just outside the room is a great way to start the day. Friendly and accommodating staff. On site restaurant is nice quality and reasonably priced. Wifi is good too if you need to catch up on anything. Only stayed one night but would have liked to stay a little longer. would come back next time.

Redirected stay
When we arrived at the hotel we were advised the hotel renovations weren't complete due to monsoon weather. Very disappointing to say the least but the hotel staff kindly sorted out alternative accommodation at Ozo hotel, transferring our full payment across. Shame, as we were looking for a hotel with more soul and character than Ozo. But of course this hotel staff weren't to know.
