Great stop over en route to Stonehaven
Great place in a quaint village. Such a lovely welcome for us and my dogs. Bar was fab, great prices, food was excellent. The staff can’t do enough for you and there is a lovely atmosphere in the lounge. Breakfast also lovely. It’s a shame that the place is looking very tired but it is clean and comfortable. We will definitely return

Great Scottish Welcome
Super friendly staff, nice restaurant and exceptionally clean. The hotel is dated but the warm welcome makes up for that and it is a geuinely dog friendly hotel. Extremely convenient for Dundee airport, nestled in a quiet village.

Overnight stay
Pleasant stay . Everything was good , yes a bit tired round the edges but we felt that was part of its charm . Room was warm and shower was hot . Enough tea and coffee for our stay . We did not have breakfast but dinner was home made and cooked to order

The building has classic charm and history, and is in a quiet setting. The rooms are badly in need of professional renovation and improvement, and the housekeeping needs to be stepped up. Felt like we were visiting a rather rustic summer cabin. Friendly staff.

2/10 Poor

The room was quite dirty and very outdated. The beds are terribly old and lumpy with springs. The carpet and the only chair were filthy. We did not remove our shoes and I used a towel to cover the chair before sitting. We were to pay at the property, however the hotel put through a charge on my credit card without authorization. I will be contacting the card as soon as I return home. There are no restaurants or stores near the inn. They do have a pub which is quite expensive and there is a kitchen, however we did not order food. I have added some photos of our room. I was quite disappointed that the hotels group doesn’t vet properties! I could not honestly find any positives. We seriously debated trying to find other accommodations for the night.
Mould and dirt along the top of the tiles on the tub. This is not high up. You have to look at it from standing on floor.
Mould around the bathtub.

6/10 Good

Unfortunately the room we had was very dated and rundown with a big damp patch on the bathroom floor, rusty raditors and worn furniture. Cleanliness was poor with dust and grime on tbe bathroom floor and someones old receipts in the drawer. However the bed linen was clean, the bed was a king and comfy. There is little soundproofing so when the room above us came back about 1.30am, the creaking floorboards above was very loud and you could hear voices pretty clearly. I know it was a cheap room so if you just wanted a bed for the night, it might be fine.

We spend one night in the The Longforgan Coaching Inn on our way to Edinburgh airport. The inn is easy to find and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The accommodation itself is very old and is in the dire need of repair / refurbishing. The bedsheets were almost worn out, but clean. The inn offers good choice of breakfasts, and they serve dinner and beers in the afternoon.

Rooms are clean and tidy. Mattresses a bit soft but did get a good nights sleep. Toiletries supplied. Kettle with tea and coffee etc and small tv. Good breakfast at an additional charge but the room was a great price. The food is good. Far enough away from Dundee. Decor and furnishings a bit tired but if you are not looking for 5 star this is a good recommendation. The staff are so welcoming and constantly working. They do a good steak.
