The property is undergoing extensive renovations which didn't impact me as I was out all day every day of my stay and the work didn't start until 07:00am. But the only bar operating is in the gaming room and there is no restaurant. In saying that there are several bars and dining options within easy walking distance. The room rate was also discounted to reflect that not all the hotel facilities are available. It isn't a flash hotel but the room was clean, the bed comfortable and I felt safe in the area. There is an IGA and bakery and bottle shop directly opposite which was convenient. I would stay there again.

Bed was very comfortable. Great value for money even though renovation is going on but that did not affect us. Great location.

2/10 Poor

Sleepless night
This hotel is currently undergoing substantial renovations. The whole downstairs is shut except for pokies. At check in there was a sign saying that work would start at 7am so i at my alarm for 7. There were workers walking around on the roof (which my bedroom looked out on to) at 6am. The drilling started at 6.30 and literally made the walls vibrate. The manager at check-in informed me that building work would probably be ongoing until the end of the year. There were also industrial fans on the roof that went on and off periodically throughout the night. A very sleepless night. That said, the room was a generous size, bed comfy and very hot shower.

Wasn’t told about the renovations and that the pub was closed and couldn’t even get a meal or beer they only had the pokies open which I’m not interested in

The room was great. Spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel below is being completely refurbished so that was unfortunate and the workers noise which started before 7 was even more unfortunate.

The property was undergoing renovations and therefore access to the building was by walking past the public bar and all the drunk smokers which was not ideal. My shower dripped and required a towel in the shower base to block the noise, there were no instructions in the room regarding wifi etc and I couldn't work out how to turn off the light behind the tv so it was on all night and I could hear every word spoken in the room next door. Campbell was great and carried my bag up the stairs but there was only so much he could do under the circumstances.

4/10 Fair

When arriving we were informed how the kitchen was closed, renovations were being done and that across the road was really noisy but after midnight the manly hotel was the only thing open so all the noise from 12-2am came from downstairs. We had barely received any sleep, the toilet wouldn’t flush properly, the girls shower was semi broken, the water pressure was absolutely trash. The men’s toilet paper had ran out and wasn’t refilled at all throughout the weekend causing men to use the woman’s bathroom which was a shock at nighttime, the beds were not comfy, there was no clock and the only light was above my bed causing me to get headaches every time turning light one. The PowerPoints didn’t really work except for the ones right above my bed making it impossible for me to sit up without my head poking on it, the tv had only like 7 channels that we could actually watch. The service was absolutely amazing just everything as was terrible. Main reason for booking hotel was the kitchen and bar but the kitchen was closed before we arrived and the bar had closed the next day making us spend hours driving to find somewhere for dinner and everything that didn’t cost an arm and leg. Would’ve been great to know about this inconveniences when booking as would have booked somewhere else.
