The hotel is a bit old and could probably use a remodel. However the hotel is clean, has a nice onsen, and the customer service was very good. My kids also enjoyed the outdoor pool the resort has. I would stay again if I visited Hamamatsu again.

They server breakfast and lunch with no food options in-between. nothing at all the closest place to get food is a 7-11 that is quite a walk away. the pool is nice but shuts down frequently for no reason. they havea ping pong room but again it is only open fro a few hours after 3pm.
therre is a lot of time with nothing do do with your kids which is not great.
Check-in was easy and staff was very friendly - was able to add another room for the night for our teen kids. There was a function on in one restaurant, and according to staff, all other restaurants were unavailable. There was very little within walking distance for us to eat. Staff offered to call a cab, but cab company had a long wait time. Breakfast buffet was very good with many options.

Enjoyed the breakfast buffet
For a family of four the room was a bit small but it was nice having real beds! The breakfast buffet is an excellent variety with options that will fit a Western palate. Beautiful view of the harbor from the dining room.

Good stay by the lake
The hotel is fairly large for the area, and I expected it to have a "bubble-economy," 90s-style, but to my surprise, the interior was very clean and nice. The hot spring was spacious and pleasant. The male massage staff was a bit cranky and my gf was disappointed at not being able to reserve any slot, however. Although we understand that ventilation is important given the current situation, the sound of outside air flowing into the room through the tiny gaps around the window was a bit annnoying. Overall, we very much enjoyed the stay.

Great stopover in destination hotel
Fantastic stay. This was a one nighter and well worth it. Great accommodations, service and facilities. Onsen was very nice, I particularly liked the outside bath. Restaurants were very nice, we had wine in the French one and dinner in the Japanese. Freinds met us in lobby and we enjoyed a very nice rea. Breakfast buffet was plentiful. Great stop, worth the price.

The hotel is very nice, but it's in the middle of the countryside, so local facilities are a bit limited. I was attending a conference at the hotel so it didn't really matter to me. The upside is you can walk out into the car park and see hawks circling overhead. There are some interesting Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples within walking distance.

Misleading
Hotel is way out in theiddle of no where. Rooms are dated and bathroom is tiny. Be prepared to pay a fee for the public baths even if you don't use it.
