Room 131
Our room, 131, a deluxe king room, was a disgrace. Threadbare carpets, peeling bed base, cracks and mould in bathroom. Couldn't change our room as staff said hotel was fully booked. Really, really disappointing

Stayed one night and the staff were very friendly and professional
Bed was comfortable, room very clean and decor very beautiful
Food very good, good choice from the breakfast option
One thing i will mention is that tv switched itself on a few times while in the room and would be on when coming back to hotel room after being out, upon asking staff if the keycard operated the tv, their reply was no, so this was interesting
Overall lovely experience and would highly recommend
Down side is having to pay for car parking

Nice hotel, dreadfully short on staff
Nice enough hotel, located perfectly for a stay in Stirling.
Unfortunately, they are clearly short of staff and we gave up on getting breakfast. There was only one young lad (credit to him)dealing with a full restaurant. We could not even get a cup of coffee.
We gave up, got a refund on breakfast and went to the Meadowpark instead, where we were served a fantastic breakfast.

Not exactly the Ritz but serviceable and friendly
The downstairs public area of the hotel (the lobby, bar and restaurant) is modern and very nicely decorated but once you get beyond to the corridors and bedrooms the furniture and furnishings show their age and clearly need some updating. Our room had worn/torn carpets with exposed gripper strips around the edge, peeling faux leather bed base and the body wash in the ensuite was empty. Having said that the room was perfectly acceptable for a (relatively) cheap place to stop, the staff and service were exceptional and they were incredibly accommodating of our dog, down to leaving treats for him in our room and bringing him a sausage for breakfast. A lovely place to stay but not what I would have rated a 5 star hotel.

Excellent location for walking to the main city sites. Parking in the hotel grounds cost us for 24 hours but it wasn’t a problem. The staff happily changed the stained inner douvet blanket.

Parking Rip Off
It was OK, didn't like the emails from the hotel the day of the stay trying to upsell everything from petals on the bed to a room upgrade.
Just annoying and tacky
Room was fine, bed was fine, very quiet which was excellent.
Hairdryer didn't work, and breakfast not available till 8 at the weekends when I needed an early start.
Parking is a rip off which added a further 15% to the cost of the stay.

Great location to Stirling Castle. Easy walk. Staff was very good and helpful. Mostly clean hotel but room was little musty.
Biggest issue is unsafe shower. For 60 yrs old climbing in and out of a very high shower tub some safety GRAB Bars are much much in need.
Good value overall and definitely eat at Mamma Mia Italian restaurant across the street
